Victim seriously injured in Downtown Eastside stabbing

One person was seriously injured and another was arrested after a stabbing on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside Tuesday, according to authorities.
The Vancouver Police Department posted a brief statement to social media, saying someone was stabbed near the Carnegie Community Centre at the intersection of Main and East Hastings streets.
'The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and one person is in custody. Additional VPD officers have been deployed to assist the investigation,' the post said.
