Maren Morris Says She Feels Like a 'Toddler' at Dating After Divorce, Believes Men Know How to 'Cosplay Intimacy So Well'
Maren Morris is getting used to dating again. In an interview with The Cut published on Friday, May 9, the country star opened up about the challenges she's found in dating following her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Hurd. Morris, 35, revealed that she joined the dating app Raya, where she swipes through men and women when she's not working. "I feel like a toddler at dating, all knock-kneed,' she told the publication. Morris also called out the 'new mutant strain of fake liberal men … who pose as progressive dudes on dating apps.' However, she's since learned certain dating red flags from TikTok like 'maladaptive daydreaming, limerence, and avoidant attachment' from Gen Z. Still, Morris said she someone she was seeing introduced her to his friends and he "completely imploded." 'I'm kind of realizing, with men especially, that they know how to cosplay intimacy so well,' said the "Carry Me Through" singer. Elsewhere in the interview, Morris opened up about why her new album Dreamsicle, which dropped Friday, May 9, isn't a divorce album. 'It's actually, to me, what happens after divorce,' she told the outlet. "I'm not documenting what happened during the relationship; I'm documenting the grief, anger, and sadness that follows, and the vulnerability of putting yourself back out there again … of reconnecting with your female friends and yourself.' is now available in the Apple App Store!
