Lee Junho takes bold step with new one-man agency, gears up for high-profile acting comeback
After 17 years with JYP Entertainment, 2PM's Lee Junho is striking out on his own. The singer and actor has officially launched a one-man entertainment agency, focusing on his solo endeavors in both acting and music. Though he'll continue working with JYP for his Japanese activities, this marks a new chapter in his career as he embarks on independent projects. Sources close to Junho reveal that preparations are in full swing for the agency's launch, with the name still under wraps. He's bringing together a team of trusted professionals, many of whom he's worked with in the past. Yang Hye Young, a seasoned expert in entertainment marketing who previously spearheaded CJ ENM's brand strategy division, will be working with him. Yang will be taking on a major role, helping guide the agency's operations and shaping Junho's next steps. Junho is preparing to fully transition into his acting career by mid-May, with two exciting new projects on the horizon. After his successful 2023 drama King the Land, Junho is set to mix things up with Typhoon Boss and Cashero. In Typhoon Boss, Junho will play Kang Taepung, a young CEO battling to save his father's business during the 1997 IMF crisis—offering a story of resilience and hope. In Cashero, he'll dive into a comedic role as Kang Sang Woong, a regular government worker with supernatural abilities, bringing a fresh side of his talent to fans.

2PM's Lee Junho parts ways with JYP
Lee Junho of 2PM will leave label JYP Entertainment after 17 years, the company said Thursday. The two parties decided not to renew the contract that will expire next month, but the label will continue to oversee his activities in Japan where he has released seven EPs as a solo singer. Lee returned from Sao Paulo earlier this month after greeting his fans for two days at his solo fan concert 'Midnight Sun.' The Brazilian capital was the last stop for the tour that began in Incheon, Korea and took him to Tokyo and Taipei. He debuted in 2008 as a member of 2PM and branched into acting in 2013 through the movie 'Cold Eyes.' He is set to play the superpower-wielding male lead in Netflix series 'Cashero,' and will star alongside Kim Minha of 'Pachinko' in drama series 'Typhoon Trading Company.'
