Child found after Code Red Alert issued in Castle Rock
DENVER (KDVR) — The Castle Rock Police Department said a missing child was found Saturday afternoon. Police issued a Code Red Alert to the local community Saturday morning, asking the public for help finding a missing, at-risk juvenile. Castle Rock police recover drugs, weapons in traffic stop
DENVER (KDVR) — A traffic stop in Castle Rock over the holiday weekend resulted in the seizure of drugs, cash, a handgun and a knife. The Castle Rock Police Department posted about the bust on Facebook. The police department said officers initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Wilcox Street and Plum Creek Parkway, just east of Interstate 25. After searching the vehicle, Castle Rock police recovered: 48.02 grams of fentanyl 8.01 grams of methamphetamine Large sum of cash Counterfeit bills To compare, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency said two milligrams of fentanyl can be deadly. Castle Rock police said the driver was in possession of a handgun and a switchblade knife, and had a warrant out for their arrest.
