Seth Rogen Is ‘Sort Of Flooded With Fear' As The Studio Gets 23 Emmy Nominations

After The Studio's record-breaking 23 Emmy nominations, Seth Rogen was engulfed in a flood of fear. Seth Rogen's satirical, cringeworthy comedy television series The Studio was released on Apple TV+ in March and has still been receiving immense praise from the audience. Besides the overwhelming success of the series, starring the actor alongside Catherine O'Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders and Kathryn Hahn, it has made history by garnering a record-breaking 23 Primetime Emmy nominations. Now, the creator opened up about his reaction post learning about the feat. In a recent interview, Seth Rogen revealed that he has still been processing The Studio's marvellous achievement in the Emmy nominations – an all-time record made by a comedy series. During the candid conversation with EXTRA TV for its podcast channel, while promoting the upcoming season of Platonic, the American filmmaker revealed, 'I was honestly in shock a bit… sort of in a daze." Among the 23 nominations, the actor himself has been nominated for four – Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. Talking about his sudden anxiety about the same, he said, 'I was just sort of flooded with the fear that what we were doing wasn't good enough and that we should start over because now there was all this pressure." Seth Rogen Changes His Creative Anxiety Into A Celebration The 43-year-old, however, subsided the initial panic and began enjoying the moment with his beloved wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, 'I got over that and then by the evening I started to feel very happy," he admitted, further mentioning 'We went out and got some cheeseburgers and had some glasses of wine and it was lovely." Seth Rogen Feels Guilty About The Nominations In the same conversation, Seth revealed, 'I feel bad. Trust me, there is guilt over all this," pointing towards the huge positive feedback the series garnered. Rogen appears as an embattled Hollywood studio head struggling to balance corporate demands with his own passion for producing quality films in The Studio. Guest acting Emmy odds: See how Kaitlyn Dever, Jeffrey Wright, Martin Scorsese, Bryan Cranston, and other hopefuls stack up

Last week, the four guest acting categories were added to Gold Derby's Emmy predictions center, and we now have a snapshot of the initial odds. For Best Drama Guest Actress, The Last of Us holds the top two spots with Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, a vengeful soldier in the zombie apocalypse, and Catherine O'Hara as Gail, a therapist who has a run-in with Pedro Pascal's Joel. Dever has yet to win an Emmy Award, while O'Hara is a two-time champion for starring on Schitt's Creek (2020) and for writing SCTV Network (1982). More from GoldDerby 'Your Friends and Neighbors' star Lena Hall on her emotionally raw Hole cover in the season finale: 'This is what I do' The entire 'Karate Kid' franchise, ranked (animated series included!) 'A supremely talented actor': Loretta Swit remembered by 'M*A*S*H' costars, including Alan Alda READ: For Best Drama Guest Actor, Jeffrey Wright is in the lead for playing Isaac on The Last of Us, the former FEDRA soldier in post-apocalypse Seattle who switches sides in explosive fashion. He previously won an Emmy for the HBO adaptation of Angels in America (2004). In second place is Shawn Hatosy, whose Dr. Abbott shares several memorable moments with Noah Wyle's Dr. "Robby" Robinavitch on The Pitt. READ: For Best Comedy Guest Actress, Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis is well-positioned to become just the third person ever to claim back-to-back Emmys in this category. She reprises her role as Donna Berzatto, the volatile mother of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Michael (Jon Bernthal), and Natalie (Abby Elliott) on the FX series. Meanwhile, Mare of Easttown Emmy winner Julianne Nicholson is hoping to win a bookend trophy for playing the fan-fave "Dance Mom" character on Hacks. READ: For Best Comedy Guest Actor, The Studio is expected to receive multiple nominations, with Bryan Cranston out front for playing unfiltered Continental CEO Griffin Mill. This would be Cranston's seventh career Emmy Award — he has four Best Drama Actor trophies for Breaking Bad and two for producing the two-time Best Drama Series champ. More The Studio guest actors to keep an eye on include Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard. READ: Below are the current Emmy predictions in 20 top categories, updated May 30.
