A 'pesky' seagull is pecking his way into notoriety.
'Cecil the Seagull' has struck terror into beachgoers at a Connecticut beach in Waterford, where nearby signs warn of the seabird's antics, according to Today.
'There he is, a winged warrior, who has been terrorizing folks in Connecticut, eating anything he can get that beak on,' anchor Savannah Guthrie said in the report, adding that the 'pesky' bird has been routinely spotted stealing sunbathers' sandwiches and cookies.
Guthrie, 53, added that the seagull has even pecked at fingers.
Melissa Cooney, a local news reporter for NBC Connecticut, said Cecil 'takes food and no prisoners."
"As long as he puts his mind to it, he can eat anything on the beach at this point,' Louis Dhervilly, a Waterford Beach Park lifeguard, said in an interview with the outlet.
He added that he once witnessed Cecil eating a king crab leg. 'The seagull completely devoured it in one go," Dhervilly recalled.

To warn beachgoers, the town put up signs emblazoned with a cartoon seagull dressed as a seagull and the words, 'HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? Cecil the Seagull.'
Waterford Recreation and Parks Program Coordinator Tim Cieplik told NBC Connecticut that Cecil has bitten several people, with lifeguards giving each victim bandages for their minor pecking wounds.
