Ulitimate iPad rival is coming to the UK this month and it's not made by Samsung
Fancy a new tablet and love all things Android? There's a new iPad rival launching soon that offers some serious performance. There's no question that the iPad still rules the tablet roost thanks to its super premium design, laptop-style power, long battery life and endless amounts of apps. It's a very tough product to beat but its Android rivals are catching up fast. Samsung is producing some seriously good Galaxy Tab devices and there are plenty of other tablets on the market from manufacturers such as HONOR, Amazon and Microsoft. However, the latest update from the team at OnePlus might just be the gadget Android fans have been waiting for. It's called the OnePlus Pad 3, and it is powered by the supremely fast Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, which is one of the best processors on the planet. This speedy chip is already tucked inside some of the best smartphones and now it's coming to this tablet as well. Along with plenty of oomph, this device also features a 13.2-inch screen with a unique 7:5 aspect ratio, there's also 256GB of storage as standard, four speakers, over 15 hours of battery life, and it comes equipped with a cooling system which uses vapour chambers to stop things from getting too hot under the collar. OnePlus is also boasting that despite being ludicrously thin, it's totally bend-resistant and, once the battery runs flat, it can be rapidly refilled thanks to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The OnePlus Pad 3 ships with OxygenOS 15, the latest version of OnePlus's operating system, which comes with all the latest features, functions and AI tools. Just like Apple's iPad, you can also add a full keyboard case which turns the tablet into a fully working laptop. There's also a stylus available for scribbling on the screen and making notes. ''Our OnePlus Pad Series has established a strong reputation for delivering some of the most powerful and productivity-focused tablets on the market - and the launch of the OnePlus Pad 3 is the next big step of this journey,'' said Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer, OnePlus Europe. ''Combining blazing fast hardware, a vibrant display, ultra-portability, AI enhanced productivity features and booming speakers for immersive gaming and movies, the OnePlus Pad 3 redefines the Android tablet industry in 2025.'' So, how much is it going to cost you? The OnePlus Pad 3 pre-orders are available now with it arriving in stores from 19 June. It is available in Storm Blue and is available in two versions, priced as follows OnePlus Pad 3 12GB + 256GB: £529 OnePlus Pad 3 16GB + 256GB: £599 Those pre-ordering can get £70 off and claim a free Smart Keyboard or Stylo 2 pen.

Exclusive: OnePlus Pad 3 launches in June with Snapdragon 8 Elite, a new design and 'remote Mac control'
The OnePlus Pad 3, the sequel to the top-ranked device on our best Android tablets guide available today, is debuting on June 5, TG has learned in an exclusive interview with Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer at OnePlus Europe. As well as the reveal date, Shi had some fascinating insight on what OnePlus' new tablet will offer, such as upgraded internals, smarter software and a fresh look. "In just two short years, we have built a strong reputation for bringing the most powerful and productive tablets to the market," said Shi. We continue this legacy with the OnePlus Pad 3," which she adds is "ready to redefine the Android tablet market in 2025." As we'd hope, OnePlus is using a mighty chipset in the Pad 3 — the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is, in fact, the first tablet to use this chip, Shi says, though several smartphones like the OnePlus 13 have used this silicon for months already. Samsung's current Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Tab S10 Ultra models use a Dimensity 9300 Plus chip, while Apple sticks with it own A-series and M-series chips for the latest iPads like the iPad Air and iPad Pro, so it'll be an exciting three-horse race when we get the Pad 3 into our lab for testing. To nobody's surprise, the OnePlus Pad 3 will run OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15, just like the OnePlus 13 series. As well as the general benefits of the new OS version, the Pad 3 will bring an update to Open Canvas, the dynamic multi-app interface seen on the Pad 2 and the OnePlus Open foldable. "OnePlus' Open Canvas… is the absolute best way to multitask across big screen devices," says Shi. " It allows you to have multiple separate programs open at once and flick between them quickly and easily, making sure nothing gets in the way of your work." Shi also promised that Open Canvas is better, but elected not to elaborate further. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Apple users, not just existing OnePlus or Android users, will benefit from owning a Pad 3 thanks to some other software upgrades. Shi explains that the OnePlus Pad 3 introduces "new apps and functionality to help Apple Mac users, including remote Mac control and easy file sharing via drag-and-drop." Remote Mac control, first seen on the Oppo Find N5, the latest foldable from OnePlus' stablemate, allows users to remotely and securely mirror their Mac desktop, with trackpad gestures and a full keyboard offered on-screen as needed. It's something you can't do with an iPad or iPhone, and could be useful for people who need access to a Mac's files at home or work while out and about. Design-wise, the OnePlus Pad 3 goes in a new direction with its rear camera block. The first and second OnePlus Pads had a rear camera in a circular block placed in the center of the long side of the device. Now however, the camera has moved to the top left corner in a pill-shaped bump, a more typical tablet camera placement that Shi describes as "a fresh, sleek look." Shi also told us about the Pad 3's new color: Storm Blue, which is apparently "a dusty royal blue that whispers class and style anywhere you go." This was specified as the European colorway, which suggests other regions could get different colorways, although OnePlus hasn't offered this on any of its previous tablets sold in Europe or North America. The OnePlus Pad 3's open sale date remains a secret, but Shi confirmed that pre-orders will open on launch day with "a selection of early-bird discounts and incentives," all on offer from OnePlus' website. Taking in all these details as a whole, it's clear that OnePlus has high hopes for the Pad 3, and going by the quality of its previous tablets, it has good reason to be. While we don't have any official info on what display specs, battery tech or accessories the OnePlus Pad 3 will have, there are only a few weeks to wait until we find out on launch day. We'll let you know as soon as we have hands-on time with the OnePlus Pad 3, and give you a full review and verdict as soon as we can.

OnePlus 13T Not Launching In US And Europe? Here's What We Know
Last Updated: OnePlus 13T made its debut in China, and the Indian market is getting the 13s variant but what about the other countries? OnePlus 13T made its debut in China last week, making it the latest compact flagship to enter the market this year. The 13T model has generated a lot of interest among readers, however, there is some disappointing news from OnePlus about this product. The company has confirmed that OnePlus 13T will not be available in markets like North America, and most likely in Europe as well. According to a report by The Verge, OnePlus was quoted sharing the details. The brand has said that OnePlus 13T will not be available for sale in Europe, the United States, or Canada. Celina Shi, OnePlus Europe's chief marketing officer, told The Verge in an email, 'Currently, we have no plans to launch the OnePlus 13s in Europe. That being said, we have noted the interest in the product from our European users, and we will keep it in mind as we make product launch decisions going forward." OnePlus clearly sees more value in launching the OnePlus 13T in its important markets like India, where the product is getting rebranded as OnePlus 13s. To be fair, this rebranding sparked hopes for a potential US release, but OnePlus has been quick to douse the fire of excitement among its fans in America. OnePlus has taken a measured approach with launches this year. The brand confirmed that the OnePlus Open foldable will not be getting a sequel in 2025, and it does not plan to launch the OnePlus Watch 3 model in India. OnePlus 13T Price And Features OnePlus 13T is priced at CNY 3,399 (Rs 39,000 approx) for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in China. The phone gets a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED LTPO display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,400 nits, and Dolby Vision support. Under the hood, the device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The 13T features a dual rear camera system, comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens. In China, the phone runs on Android 15-based ColorOS and includes a new iPhone 16-like Quick Key action button for added convenience. Even for a compact phone, you get a 6,260 mAh battery that supports 80W charging. First Published: May 02, 2025, 08:10 IST

OnePlus Watch 3: what to expect
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to be revealed on February 18, and TechRadar recently got a first look at this wearable device. The new watch from the maker of the OnePlus 13 is expected to feature Wear OS 5, powered by the Snapdragon W5 chipset, which also includes a secondary MCU chip. This combination is expected to provide up to 120 hours of battery life between charges. As OnePlus Europe's Chief Marketing Officer Celina Shi explained, 'Our software seamlessly switches operations between these two chipsets enabling the OnePlus Watch 3 to run with maximum efficiency and strike the perfect balance between peak performance and extended battery life.' The OnePlus Watch 3 should feature a rotating digital crown alongside a titanium bezel with a sapphire crystal face. This is an update from the OnePlus Watch 2 that features stainless steel. How that digital crown compares to the Apple Watch Series 10 remains to be seen. According to Shi, 'With the ability to both press and rotate, the rotating crown makes navigating through apps and menus efficient and intuitive – and ultimately the user experience even better.' Beyond this, little is known about the new wearable device. Recent rumors indicate that the upcoming watch will include features now standard on smartwatches, such as health and fitness tools. Like recent Samsung Galaxy Watches such as the Galaxy Watch 7, it is expected to monitor blood pressure. This feature is projected to be available this fall with the release of the Apple Watch Series 11 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3. The OnePlus Watch 3 should be available in the U.S., Europe, and other locations when released. The new watch will be revealed on Tuesday, February 18, at 8 a.m. EST.
