Australian woman credits a strange Facebook post for her $4.2million Lotto win
An Australian woman has credited a strange Facebook post for her good fortune after winning a $4.2million Lotto prize.
The Central Western Slopes resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4593, drawn Saturday.
Each division one winning entry received $4,285,714.29.
When an official from The Lott broke the winning news, the winner couldn't help but scream out to her work colleagues, confessing she was thankful no customers were around.
'Wow. I'm glad you warned me to sit down,' she said.
'I just won $4.2 million. I'm at work now, but there are no customers here, luckily. I'm ecstatic. Oh my god. I can't believe this.'
'It's funny, I had a thing on Facebook that said, "If you watch this until the end, a large sum of money will come your way".
'I didn't really think anything of it, and here we are.'
She also revealed her plan for the money.
'I can pay off my house and car. I'll be completely debt-free. I can't believe I'm saying that right now. I've played for decades, since I was 18! I once won $400, but that seems like nothing compared to this.'
