The Trojans needed to hit the transfer portal hard to fill out the rest. Advertisement Head coach Eric Musselman and company had room for one more talent. They learned the fate of one All-Ivy League transfer. USC is adding Dartmouth guard Ryan Cornish, with Joe Tipton of On3 confirming the news Wednesday. Cornish now gives the Trojans 12 scholarship players. But he's the ninth portal addition for Musselman and company. The Trojans previously added Final Four representative from Auburn Chad Baker-Mazara through the portal. Musselman also lured in another March Madness talent in Maryland guard Rodney Rice -- who leaves a Big Ten rival for USC. He grabbed 4.9 rebounds per game too. He also dished out 3.3 assists per game. Advertisement The 6-foot-4 Cornish brings a true guard option over to the Galen Center. But he's walking into a crowded USC guard room. Musselman lured in prized freshman Alijah Arenas via the recruiting trail. Arenas is also a five-star addition from USC's backyard Chatsworth. Rice adds to the guard room with his portal addition. Freshman Jerry Easter is another on board. He's another true freshman addition. Meanwhile, Terrance Williams II comes in as the oldest member of the guard rotation as a senior. Baker-Mazara adds versatility as a guard/forward. USC still has one last scholarship to give, and likely wants to add the 13th before the season. Chad Baker-Mazara transfers to USC after helping Auburn reach the Final Four

Chad Baker-Mazara is transferring to the USC Trojans after helping Auburn reach the Final Four. The 6-foot-7 forward started 34 of 38 games for the Tigers last season, averaging 12.3 points and 3.0 rebounds while earning All-SEC third-team honors. The Tigers lost 79-73 to eventual national champion Florida in the national semifinals, with Baker-Mazara scoring 18 points. "He's a proven winner and will be a player that we can play all over the floor," USC coach Eric Musselman said Tuesday. "Chad will be one of the best returning players in the country this year. Chad plays with incredible passion and emotion that can lift a home crowd." Baker-Mazara, who is from the Dominican Republic, started nine of 35 games in his first season with the Tigers. He was selected to the SEC All-Tournament team. He previously played at Northwest Florida State College and Duquesne before transferring to San Diego State as a sophomore. He was the Mountain West's sixth man of the year and helped the Aztecs to a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Baker-Mazara is the sixth player to join USC for next season via the transfer portal.
