The No. 2 Auburn Tigers (21-2, 9-1 SEC) visit the Vanderbilt Commodores (17-6, 5-5) Tuesday at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's college basketball odds around the Auburn vs. Vanderbiltodds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.
The Tigers are coming off a 90-81 loss at home against the Florida Gators Saturday, just its first conference loss and second setback of the season. Starting guards Chad Baker Mazara and Denver Jones combined for just 8 total points on a combined 2-of-10 shooting. Baker Mazara is second on the team with 12.7 points per game (PPG).
Auburn had won 14 straight games from Dec. 8-Feb. 4, and it had covered 3 in a row prior to the loss to the Gators. The Over is on a 4-0 run.
The Commodores picked up an 86-78 win over the Texas Longhorns Saturday, cashing as a 3-point favorite as the Over (149.5) cashed. The win halted a 2-game loss and non-cover skid, while the Over has hit in each of the past 3 contests.
Auburn has won 7 of the past 8 meetings since 2018, while going 6-2 against the spread (ATS). The Under has hit in each of the previous 3 meetings, too.

Auburn at Vanderbilt picks and predictions
Prediction
Auburn 91, Vanderbilt 77
Auburn (-400) will cost you 4 times your potential return, and that's way too much risk for not much reward.
The Tigers should be super angry after falling in front of the home fans against the Gators last time out.
Vanderbilt (+310) isn't likely to offer much in the way of resistance, as it is terrible in field-goal defense (45.2%) and 3-pointer defense (37.0%), ranking in the bottom third in the nation in both categories.
Still, while it looks like a certainly Auburn will rebound, Vanderbilt has topped the likes of the Kentucky Wildcats, Tennessee Volunteers and Texas during its 4-game home win streak.

Back AUBURN -8.5 (-115) in this bounce-back game.
The Tigers were embarrassed at home, so they're likely to take the court in Nashville with a bit of a chip on their shoulders. While Vanderbilt +8.5 (-105) has sprung some big upsets at home in the past couple of weeks, the Tigers are an entirely different animal, pun intended.
OVER 156.5 (-110) might be the best play on the board.
The Over has cashed in 3 in a row for Vandy, while going 5-1 across the past 6 outings. The Over has cashed in 4 straight for Auburn, too.
While the series trends suggest an Under play, results this season in recent weeks trump results from season's past, in terms of importance.

Rashee Rice Sends Clear Message to Chiefs WR Amid Offseason
Rashee Rice Sends Clear Message to Chiefs WR Amid Offseason originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Coming off their surprising blowout loss in Super Bowl LIX, the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a pretty big dent in their aura of invincibility. Advertisement But while there are those who predict them to take a step back this coming season, the reality is that they still have a very strong roster. If anything, they could become a little bit better, mostly because wide receiver Rashee Rice is expected back after a knee injury in Week 4 of 2024 prematurely ended his season. Teammate Marquise Brown took to Instagram to post a message as the Chiefs continue to gather for organized team activities (OTAs) with the start of the 2025 campaign three months away. "Hope these voices in my head go quiet 🥷🏿🌪️," he wrote. Rice responded with the comment "My Bloody!🤞🏾♥️." After trading superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill in 2022, Kansas City has had what has seemed like a revolving door at that position. But Rice has given them hope that he can become a major go-to guy. Advertisement After he was a second-round draft pick in 2023, he caught 79 passes for 938 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie while starting eight of 16 games. Until his injury last fall, he had 24 receptions, 288 yards and two touchdowns in four games. He isn't quite as speedy as Hill, but he has shown plenty of promise in one season and change. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (4).Kareem Elgazzar-USA TODAY Sports The new speedster in Kansas City is wideout Xavier Worthy, who set a new NFL scouting combine record by running the 40-yard dash in 4.21 seconds in 2024. As a rookie last year, he had 744 total yards and nine total touchdowns. In that Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, he posted eight receptions, 157 yards and two touchdowns. Rams Head Coach Addresses Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams' Pairing
Rams Head Coach Addresses Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams' Pairing originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay had strong words when asked about the pairing of former New York Jets wideout Davante Adam and his Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Matthew Stafford. Advertisement The 37-year-old quarterback appeared in 16 games for the Rams during the 2024 season, throwing for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions while leading Los Angeles into the postseason. The former Georgia Bulldog is entering his fifth season under head coach Sean McVay and 16th of his NFL career since being selected No. 1 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. NFL veteran Davante Adams, 32, signed with the Rams in the offseason after he was released by the Jets. Adams finished last season with 85 receptions for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns despite playing with multiple starting quarterbacks. He has recorded 1,000-plus receiving yards six times throughout his NFL career and has totaled 103 touchdowns. McVay's respect for Adams was evident from the start, as he highlighted the All-Pro receiver's film in a team meeting shortly after his arrival. Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay looks Lew-Imagn Images Both veterans are proven stars — Stafford won Super Bowl LVI with McVay in February 2022, while Adams remains widely regarded as one of the NFL's premier route runners. Advertisement 'What I think is really cool to be able to witness is the respect that you can feel they have for one another,' McVay told reporters. "... Matthew's got such a great way of being able to connect and communicate. And it's the same thing with Davante. "Those guys have such a high level of understanding of what they want. ... It's been cool to watch." With both players entering the latter stages of their careers, McVay's focus remains on maximizing what they can do together — and looking to build on last year's playoff success. Saquon Barkley Dismisses Retirement Following Viral Remark
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Earlier this month, Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley had the NFL world buzzing following comments about retiring. Ahead of the 2025 campaign, the superstar running back provided some assurances that he has a lot left in the tank. It's well documented that Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders is someone Barkley has long admired. While speaking with Chris Long on his Green Light podcast, he even hinted at ending his career abruptly similar to his idol. "I'll probably be one of those guys that it'll be out of nowhere. I'll probably just wake up one day, whether it's next year or two years or four years, and just be like, 'Yeah it's over,'" Barkley said. On Tuesday, the Eagles began their mandatory minicamp like numerous teams across the league. Following the first day's action, Barkley answered an array of questions from the media. As expected, his recent remarks about retirement came up. When asked about what he said on Long's podcast, the Eagles back let the world know that he is career isn't coming to a close anytime soon. "I don't plan on retiring anytime soon," Barkley told reporters Tuesday. Saquon Barkley: 'I don't plan on retiring anytime soon.' — Zach Berman (@ZBerm) June 10, 2025 This remark is music to the Eagles and their fans' ears, as Barkley has become a foundational piece of the franchise. Last season, he departed from the New York Giants to find a new home in the NFC East. Barkley's presence drastically raised the Eagles' ceiling, and was a major factor in them capturing the second Super Bowl in franchise history. Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on prior to the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field on January 26, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on prior to the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field on January 26, 2025 in Philadelphia, on what we saw last season, Barkley is still more than capable of playing at a high level in the NFL. He had a historic start to his Eagles tenure, rushing for over 2,000 yards in the regular season. Barkley then followed that up by leading the postseason in both rushing yards (499) and touchdowns (5). With the Eagles retaining most of their core, they are primed to be back in the title conversation in 2025. If they're going to repeat as champions, they can't have key contributors like Barkley already thinking about life after football. Luckily for them, he put to bed any notion of his retirement being on the horizon. If Barkley does plan on having a similar career arc as Sanders, he still has three years to go before the thought of retirement becomes real. In the meantime, he'll be looking to build off his career year in 2024 as he attempts to help Philly secure another championship.
