Remains found near Saskatoon identified as Chad Romanski, death considered a homicide
Police say they have identified human remains found near Saskatoon last week as Chad Romanski of Saskatoon and are now treating the death as a homicide. In a news release, the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said the remains were found off Highway 7, west of the city, on June 4. Police have not said how far outside of the city or how far off the highway the body was found, or how it was discovered. The release said investigation by SPS and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service confirmed the remains belong to 31-year-old Romanski. Police say they are treating the death as a homicide.

Saskatoon police are investigating the discovery of human remains west of the city as a homicide. The remains were discovered off Highway 7 west of Saskatoon on Wednesday, with forensic investigators examining the scene alongside a provincial coroner. Now, police say the remains have been identified as 31-year-old Chad Romanski. In a news release Monday, police said after a forensic examination, they're treating his death as a homicide. Anyone with relevant information about Romanski, a Saskatoon man, is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
