Chiati Unveils Double Release 'Cairo Traffic' / 'Wither Away' on Hive
Chaiti reveals two tracks of emotional house that eschew convention for more mundane and introspective scenarios on Hive Audio. Apr 11, 2025 Egyptian producer and live act Chiati has just dropped a double release on Animal Trainer and Dario D'Attis' Swiss electronic dance label Hive Audio. Titled 'Cairo Traffic' and 'Wither Away'. 'Cairo Traffic' is a hypnotic afro-melodic house journey into the chaotic metropolis, where Chiati interweaves street recordings of incessant car horns and classical Egyptian instrumentations like Mizmar, Riq and Tabla into a driving groove layered with melodic synth work, resulting in a club-ready tune that pulses with the energy of Cairo's bustling roads. On the other hand, 'Wither Away' is hauntingly melancholic, more of a supercut of Chiati's intimate side. His haunting falsetto vocals - echoing, 'Do I have to change myself, can I not be myself' - waft through emotive house arrangements like a late-night reverie.

Chiati's ‘Zaman' Ft. Omar Emara is a Fresh Take on Arab House
The two Egyptian artists and long-time collaborators unveil their first project of 2025 on Alan Dixon's Love Attack Records. Jan 31, 2025 Egyptian producer and live act Chaiti drops a new single 'Zaman', featuring his long-time music partner and collaborator Omar Emara. For a decade or so, the two Egyptian artists have been making music together, forming a partnership defined by a continuous process of creation and experimentation that was born out of their friendship, and even birthed a deeply personal collaborative album called 'Pantomime' in 2021. On 'Zaman', their first collaborative project in 2025 released on Alan Dixon's Love Attack Records, Chaiti's intricate production, blending emotive house rhythms with afro and tribal elements, locks in with Emara's Arabic vocal tones, offering a fresh effort on Arab house music. The track's poignant lyrics, pinned by Egyptian pop artist Ahmed Basyouni, detail a personal and inhibited journey of self-discovery and hope that Chaiti colours impeccably with his electronic gospel of emotional piano melodies, and innovative synth modulations.
