He didn't get much assistance outside of Rachin Ravindra's 75 runs, though, as Shami picked up an impressive 5/54. It was Ross Taylor (74 off 90) and Kane Williamson (67 off 95) that led the way, putting on a 65-run stand for the third wicket. The Kiwis then tore through India's top order, which sunk to 4/24 in the 10th over. They fought back courageously, led by Ravindra Jadeja (77 off 59) and MS Dhoni (50 off 72), but couldn't complete their second innings comeback, losing their 10th wicket in the final over 18 runs short of pulling off the miraculous.
