Tottenham are the most entertaining team in the 92 according to data... but which Premier League new boys are the most BORING? And where do Man United rank?

As the season draws to a close, there will be some fans reflecting on a memorable year for their club, while others may be ruing missed opportunities or simply regretting another disappointing campaign. But how exciting has the action been? Well, Mail Sport has you covered as we've crunched the numbers to see which teams have been involved in the most entertaining games and on the other hand, the most boring. There is no exact science to this as teams with an impressively strong defence may have been penalised unfairly, while others who have endured dismal campaigns and conceded a bucket load of goals have been measured as more interesting sides to watch. Given those in the EFL have played more matches than their Premier League counterparts, the data has been compiled by measuring the amount of cumulative goals (for and against) that each of the 92 teams have been involved in, before dividing that by the number of games played. And, despite their promotion back to the top flight, Burnley have been measured as 'the most boring team' in the 92. The Clarets have scored 61 goals this season, the fifth highest in the division, but it is their remarkable defensive record which stands out. Scott Parker's side have conceded just 15 goals in 44 games and keeper James Trafford, who has been nominated for the Championship Player of the Season, has racked up an astonishing 28 clean sheets. But with a cumulative goal tally of 76, Burnley's record of 1.73 per game is the lowest of any team in the 92. The rest of the top five most boring teams in the 92 are Wigan (1.77 goals per game), Gillingham (1.91), AFC Wimbledon (2) and Stevenage (2.02). The most boring Premier League team is Everton, who have an average of 2.24 goals in every game they're involved in, although that ranks them 16th in total. Man United's record of 2.55 goals per game mean Ruben Amorim's side are the second dullest Premier League team, but the 42nd overall. Meanwhile, behind Burnley, Wigan have been measured as the most boring side in League One, while Gillingham are the unfortunate holders of that accolade in League Two. Elsewhere, Tottenham's chaotic season sees them languishing in 16th place in the Premier League after 18 defeats in 33 games. However, Spurs fans have witnessed 112 goals in that time, a record of 3.39 each match, which makes them the most exciting outfit across the four tiers. Wolves are the next most entertaining at 3.30 goals per game, while Peterborough United's 3.21 ranks them as the EFL's most compelling side to watch, as per the data. Norwich and Plymouth (3.02) share that honour in the Championship at 3.02 goals per 90 minutes - and Swindon (3) are at the top of the tree in League Two. A list of the 92 teams can be found below... The most boring teams to watch in the 92 Team Games Goals scored Goals conceded Cumulative goals Goals per game 1. Burnley 44 61 15 76 1.73 2. Wigan 43 37 39 76 1.77 3. Gillingham 44 39 45 84 1.91 4. A celebration of Joe Rodon, the warrior king of Leeds' defence

While Manor Solomon and Jayden Bogle were celebrating their latest collaboration in the south-east corner of Oxford United's Kassam Stadium, there was another moment being shared in Leeds United blue. Joe Rodon went to Daniel Farke and Ethan Ampadu chased him. Solomon will gladly accept scoring his ninth of the season in the 1-0 away win on Friday and history will reflect that it came via Bogle's third assist of the campaign, but this was Rodon's goal, make no mistake. The centre-back, as he so often is with Leeds' territorial dominance in the Championship, was 10 yards inside the opposition half as the stars aligned for him. Wilfried Gnonto had dropped back, putting doubt in Oxford minds, while Bogle was arcing around everyone in home yellow to collect the ball in space. Rodon saw the pass, executed it and removed four defenders from the equation in one jab of his boot. Manager Farke loved it and so did Ampadu, Rodon's team-mate for both Leeds and Wales. These are two people who respect and appreciate what Rodon has been doing on a weekly basis for 20 months in Leeds colours. They see the dirty work, the tackles, the headers, the aggression, the high standards, the battle scars, the trenches he dominates along United's backline. Advertisement This was another side to him. It's a pass his colleagues probably see every day in training, but he doesn't often get that platform in a competitive game. They were delighted for him. And that was only the start. His 11 clearances, seven of them headers, were more than double the tally anyone else managed in the game. Rodon also won nine of his 11 duels. He was indomitable on a night when Leeds needed warriors. The 27-year-old was pumped up. He celebrated every victorious tackle or block as the minutes ebbed away from the game. Rodon seized his moment. There was even time for an 84th-minute drive upfield, as if he was the team's right-winger, to win a free kick in Oxford territory. If Will Vaulks was Oxford's trebuchet, Rodon was Leeds' 100-foot granite wall. Those throw-ins were hurled in all night and, time after time, it was the Wales international clearing a path and sending them back whence they came. It's ironic that, in the week his team-mate, compatriot and friend Daniel James was nominated for Championship Player of the Season, it was Rodon's turn in the limelight. In a week where James' attacking prowess has, rightly, been acknowledged, it was the defender's turn to be appreciated. Seasoned Leeds spectators know exactly what Rodon's worth is to this team, but it's easy for goals and assists to overshadow the soldiering being done at the rear. Are we guilty of taking Rodon for granted? Would anyone put him forward as Leeds' in-house player of the year? He's just there, all the time, consistently churning out seven-, eight- and nine-out-of-10 performances. He has been there for every cough and splutter of this 2024-25 campaign, this run to being the best team in the league with only 270 regular-season minutes left to play. Forty-three games, 43 starts, only four minutes missed after a clash of heads against Burnley in September. Rodon is durable, dependable and a leader in a side short on 30-something veterans who play regularly. While others have come and gone with fitness or form, the former Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur man is the cornerstone of this team, Farke's dream. Advertisement He's so close now to what he came back for last summer. Rodon was arguably 2023-24 player of the year while on loan from Spurs. After failing to win promotion at Wembley, every right-thinking expectation was that he would be back in the Premier League this season, but with someone else. The promoted trio of Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton, front-row spectators last term, all had a nibble, but Leeds dug their heels in. Archie Gray's sale to Tottenham may have got the ball rolling in those talks between the clubs and, release clause or not, chairman Paraag Marathe was dead-set on ensuring the wheels were greased on Rodon moving in the other direction. The defender did not take much convincing to return to this corner of Yorkshire. There was unfinished business and friends to be reunited with. Easter Monday afternoon against Stoke City at Elland Road, with automatic promotion virtually on the line, is why Rodon came back. It will be a bear pit inside those four walls and Leeds have their fighter. As Solomon was given the honour of handing Sky Sports' man of the match gong to Rodon, he kept it simple: 'What a man, what a player.'

Dan James could return for Leeds at weekend; Rothwell definitely out

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke says Daniel James will 'probably' be available to face Stoke City on Easter Monday and could even be available against Oxford United on Good Friday. The winger, 27, finished the 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on April 8 with a hamstring injury and subsequently missed the 2-1 victory over Preston North End on Saturday. Advertisement Farke feels confident the Championship Player of the Season nominee will be involved against Stoke, but they are pushing to have the Wales international in the squad for the Kassam Stadium visit too. However, midfielder Joe Rothwell has been ruled out of the weekend's matches. Farke is hopeful the Bournemouth loanee will be fit for the final home game of the season against Bristol City on April 28. 'Joe Rothwell will definitely miss this weekend's games,' said Farke. 'We hope to have him available for the last home game against Bristol. 'With Daniel James, it looks slightly better. It's fair to say, at this stage, we will probably have him available for the Monday game. 'If he is already able to play a part in the game on Good Friday at Oxford, (it's a) late decision, so we have 24 more hours. It's pretty likely he can be involved on Monday. 'Of course, we're trying everything to make him available to travel with us to Oxford, but (it will be a) late decision. We will take the decision tomorrow (Thursday) after training.'
