This action comes following continued violations of Chapter 333 and 436, RSMo, and provisions of the board's rules. Savory and Sons Funeral Home was initially issued a probationary license in September 2020, which the board extended in July 2023 after a probation violation.
During a probationary hearing on Tuesday, June 10, the board heard testimony from the owner of Savory and Sons and from individuals who allege to have been negatively impacted by the funeral establishment's practices.
The board considered the in a closed session and determined that license revocation is warranted.
The revocation means Savory and Sons can no longer hold out or practice as a funeral establishment in Missouri.
In addition to the board's investigation, the Missouri Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section has opened an investigation into Savory and Sons Funeral Home.
