Elizabeth Banks makes toilet plea to hotel guests after 'shocking' experiences as chambermaid

Elizabeth Banks used to remove "condoms and tampons" from toilets during her time as a "chambermaid". The 51-year-old actress has recalled her time taking on difficult jobs before finding success as an actress, and she recalled a period where she "cleaned toilets" to make a living. She told 'The Kelly Clarkson Show': "I started working really young. I've done everything. I was a waitress for a decade. I also was a chambermaid at a bed and breakfast." The 'Charlie's Angels' star took the opportunity to make a plea for any guests in the hospitality sector from someone who's been on the other side. She begged: "I just have some advice for people who stay in hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, whatever. "Please stop flushing things other than tepee down toilets. "Like the amount of condoms and tampons I had to dig out of toilets as a 17-year-old is shocking to me." However, Elizabeth conceded that the experience was character-building, and she feels like she's ready for anything. She added: "Kelly, I can go anywhere. It's not glamorous this life you lead. You end up going a lot of crazy places and I'm like, 'I've been worse.' " Jessica - who has kids Felix, 14, and Magnus, 12, with her husband Max Handelman - recently insisted her children have "no interest" in following in her footsteps as actors when it comes to their own working ambitions. She told PEOPLE magazine: "If my kids decide to get into acting, which they have currently no interest in, then I would be thrilled to ever do anything with them if they would deign to hang out with me. "It's unlikely. In fact, it would have to be a paying job for them to actually want to hang out with me." She also revealed one of her boys recently had a role in a school production, but wasn't impressed with the return he got for the work he put in. Speaking to E! News, she quipped: "My son was recently in a school play and he said, 'That was a lot of effort for flowers and some applause!' "

Elizabeth Banks' son has hilarious outlook on acting career

Elizabeth Banks' son doesn't think acting is worth the "effort". The 51-year-old actress - who has sons Felix, 14 and Magnus, 12, with her husband Max Handelman - revealed one of her boys recently had a role in a school production, but wasn't impressed with the return he got for the work he put in. She told E! News: "My son was recently in a school play and he said, 'That was a lot of effort for flowers and some applause!' " While it's unclear if her sons will follow in her big screen footsteps, the 'Charlie's Angels' actress admitted her friend's kids have started to discover her movies. She laughed: "I recently got a text from a friend who said, 'Just so you know, our son saw 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'. 'I was like, 'OK, got it, I understand what that means.' Well, the cat's out of the bag!" The 'Pitch Perfect' star previously opened up about the struggle with finding a "balance" between being a parent and working. She told PEOPLE magazine in 2023: "I'm not sure that balance is, there's no balance achievable. 'For me, what I've come to is letting go of guilt. It's societal. But you let go of it. "And I trust my husband. My husband — just being like, 'You got it.' ' She admitted it took the couple a while to find their footing as new parents. Recalling the early days of parenthood, she joked: "I was like, 'What do you mean you don't know how to swaddle yet? We're two months in and you can't swaddle this kid?' 'I literally started coming home and being like, 'The baby's alive. Great job.' My standard went to that. "I still hope I come home. I'm like, 'What'd you guys eat?' He's like, 'We went to In-N-Out.' I'm like, 'Great. Okay. Don't care.'' And she reflected on how her own mother - with whom she now has a good, loving relationship" - also worked while trying to raile a family. She said: "So really letting go of guilt. It's been huge for me. Really, truly, it's allowed me to just be at work and not be worried."

Jane' actress dished regarding her now-famous bikini scene. 'I don't know why that was my obsession.' Plus, the Golden Globe-winning actress revealed that she had less than one month to prepare for the role. 'And I had no time to think about what I looked like, which was almost better.' 8 Moore, pictured here with Cameron Diaz's character, insisted that she not be filmed from behind during the famous scene. ©Columbia Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection 8 Barrymore also starred in the 2003 blockbuster with Moore, Diaz and Lucy Liu. YouTube/@TheDrewBarrymoreShow Barrymore couldn't believe that her co-star was able to 'show up' like she did with only a three-week's notice. 'No one can do in three weeks what you showed up with. So you were clearly good to go,' Barrymore, 50, gushed. 'Like there's no magic wand that gets you to that in three weeks.' 'I've done a three-week diet,' she added. 'I didn't end up there.' 8 The 'Substance' actress at the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in February. FilmMagic Moore also discussed how 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle' was her first movie back after taking a break to be with her daughters. She shares Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31, with ex-husband Bruce Willis, and the three insisted that she 'had to do' the movie when she was offered the role more than 20 years ago. 'I had taken a break only to be with them,' Moore recalled. 'I stopped and was just with them until they finally were like, 'You have to do this movie. We love the first one. You have to do this movie. And please, aren't you going to ever work again?'' 8 Moore in her most recent movie, 'The Substance.' Courtesy Everett Collection Now, more than two decades since the blockbuster was released, the 'Substance' actress said it feels like it's been both forever and no time at all. 'Doesn't it feel in some ways like a lifetime and also like a flash?' she asked Barrymore. Moore previously discussed her iconic bikini scene last year during a chat with Interview magazine. 8 Moore and Barrymore couldn't believe it's been more than 20 years since 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle' was released. YouTube/@TheDrewBarrymoreShow She admitted that she struggled with her identity after starring in the beloved sequel to 'Charlie's Angels' – especially because she had just turned 40 and was not yet 'what they perceived as a mother.' 'I had done 'Charlie's Angels' and there was a lot of conversation around this scene in a bikini, and it was all very heightened, a lot of talk about how I looked,' Moore explained in August. 'I didn't feel like I didn't belong,' she added. 'It's more like I felt that feeling of, I'm not 20, I'm not 30, but I wasn't yet what they perceived as a mother.' 8 Moore at the Dolby Theatre for the Oscars on March 2. Disney via Getty Images Moore appeared as Madison Lee in 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle,' a former Angel who worked independently as an intelligence agent with a hidden secret. Barrymore, Lucy Liu, 56, and Cameron Diaz, 52, starred as the three core Angels: Dylan Sanders, Alex Munday and Natalie Cook, respectively. John Forsythe, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 92, once again provided the voice of Charles 'Charlie' Townsend like he did in the original TV series and the first 'Charlie's Angels' film in 2000.

She told Rolling Stone magazine: 'I don't know what my family's going to look like, but there's no way that I don't start acquiring kids. And also, ideally at some point soon I go, 'I want to have a kid.' I really want that to happen.' However, the 'Spencer' star admitted she is "scared" of the idea of giving birth because she doesn't like the idea of feeling out of control. She said: 'I'm not scared of being pregnant. I'm not scared of having a kid. But I'm so scared of childbirth, it's crazy. 'I hate that. I mean, I smoke a lot of weed — I obviously self-medicate — but I don't like hard drugs. And I've tried — a lot. I just can't deal.'
