Walkers announces two new permanent crisp flavours
Walkers are introducing two new flavours of crisp as part of their permanent selection. The new additions come as crisp lovers have expressed that new flavours are "more innovative" than regular flavours including Cheese and Onion or Salt and Vinegar.
A new consumer test shows that 49% of crisp lovers prefer the new flavours over the classics, claiming that Sticky Teriyaki (68%) and Masala Chicken (66%) taste more innovative than regular flavours. Millions of people across the UK buy Walkers crisp as a kitchen cupboard staple.
The new flavours, Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken have had positive outcomes from taste tests. 73% of consumers said they would be much more likely to buy Masala Chicken than Prawn Cocktail.

Half said they would be much more likely to choose both Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken over the existing core range. The new crisp flavours are available to buy this week onwards.
Walkers says that with a balance between sweet and tangy, the new Sticky Teriyaki flavour is "sure to hit your senses" with an array of tastes inspired by flavours from Japan.
The new Masala Chicken provides a "rich and spicy taste" and with Tikka Masala being a firm favourite dish in the UK, the new crisps give you a bite sized flavour you can enjoy on the go.
Of those questioned, 73% of people said would be more likely to buy Masala Chicken than Prawn Cocktail, while 65% preferred Sticky Teriyaki over Cheese & Onion. Customers also said they would be much more likely to choose both Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken over the existing core range.
Wayne Newton, Senior Marketing Director Walkers said: 'Our development team has been on a mission for the past year to find two new flavours that meet the highest standards.
"After thousands of crisps crunched, flavours tested, and bags rustled, we're pleased to bring something entirely new to the table with Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken.'
The launch follows a year of behind-the-scenes development, with a six-step process and 63 different flavour submissions.
