Chepstow charity ball raises more than £5,000 for Velindre
The Chepstow & District 41 Club hosted the event at the Mounton Brook Lodge in Chepstow, with more than 100 guests attending.
The money raised will go to the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, which provides treatment, care, and support to those affected by cancer.
Outgoing chairman, Adam Butcher, said: "We were all saddened by the loss of one of our founding members, Russ Currie, last year to prostate cancer, so we got together to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK and to the Velindre Hospital that provided treatment and care to Russ."
The event included a raffle and auction, which raised nearly £2,000.
Organiser, Stuart Dent, said: "The generosity of businesses and everyone involved has been amazing and we have exceeded all our expectations.
"A big 'thank you' must go to the team at Mounton Brook Lodge and our main diamond sponsors Inside Out Development and C & I Controls."
The Chepstow & District 41 Club is planning to host another charity ball next year on April 25, 2026, in aid of motor neurone disease (MND) and the 4-Ed Charity.
The club is looking for local businesses to support the event through sponsorship or by booking a table.
