Person shot during road rage incident, deputies say
A person has been hospitalized after being shot during a road rage incident Friday evening, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office. It happened around 6 p.m. on Interstate 85 near mile marker 68. ALSO READ: Police searching for 3 suspects involved in shootout following job fair Deputies said they are searching for a suspect who may have been driving a white Chevrolet 1500 extended cab work truck with possible yellow writing on it. That vehicle was last seen traveling towards Davidson County, according to deputies. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff's Office at 704-216-8700. Head-on crash in Bedford County claims life of 65-year-old man
BEDFORD CO, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police are investigating a head-on two-vehicle crash in Bedford County that killed a 65-year-old man from Moneta on March 24. Around 7:10 p.m. on Monday, a 1995 Chevrolet 1500, driven by 65-year-old Chester Lee Bates of Moneta, was heading east on White House Road near Hollow Road when he crossed the centerline and hit a 2000 Lexus traveling head-on in the westbound lane. Hampton man dies in single-vehicle crash in Botetourt County Mr. Bates was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries received in the crash. The Virginia State Police said the investigation is ongoing. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Pedestrian killed in fatal hit-and-run near I-40 and Unser
Mar. 17—The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Northwest Albuquerque Sunday night. Just after 9 p.m., officers responded to a call of a crash in the area of Unser and Interstate 40. A vehicle was traveling south on Unser when it hit a pedestrian, APD spokesperson Franchesca Perdue said in a news release. The pedestrian has not been identified. Police are looking for a white 2015-2019 GMC truck or Chevrolet 1500 with extensive damage to the driver's side bump and fog lamps, Perdue said. If anyone has information, they are encouraged to call 505-242-COPS (2677), she said. "This is an ongoing investigation and further information will be released when available," she said.

Independence man dies after crash in Lafayette County
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 67-year-old man from Independence, Missouri was killed on Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Lafayette County. He was driving westbound on I-70 in 1997 Chevrolet 1500 before going off the right side of the road. See the latest headlines in Kansas City and across Kansas, Missouri According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Chevrolet hit a sign post, followed by a tree, then caught on fire.
