Lingenfelter's 7.0-Liter Upgrade Brings Over 700 HP to C8 Corvette
⚡️ Read the full article on Motorious Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is pushing the limits of the Chevrolet C8 Corvette with its latest high-performance offering: the Eliminator Spec S, a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter LT2 V-8 delivering over 700 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. This new powerplant, designed for both the C8 Stingray and the all-wheel-drive E-Ray, is currently the highest-output naturally aspirated engine available for the mid-engine Corvette. On the dyno, the setup produces 577 horsepower and 528 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, which Lingenfelter estimates translates to more than 700 hp at the crank. To achieve this level of performance, Lingenfelter partnered with Callies to develop a set of custom components, including H-beam connecting rods and a forged crankshaft. The engine also features 4.125-inch MAHLE Power Pack pistons, a COMP Cam camshaft tuned for the dual-clutch transmission, and a stock-style oiling and scavenging system to maintain reliability under high loads. However, this kind of performance doesn't come cheap. The Eliminator Spec S package is priced at $29,950, with additional upgrades available. Buyers can opt for a $2,395 carbon intake manifold, a ported throttle body for $480.95, or a Halltech cold air intake for $795. Exhaust upgrades include a CORSA Xtreme system for $3,978.99 or CORSA headers for $2,495. With its naturally aspirated design and big-block power, the Lingenfelter Eliminator Spec S offers a compelling alternative for Corvette enthusiasts looking for extreme performance without forced induction.

This Tuner Reimagined the Chevrolet C8 Corvette as a Fighter Jet on Wheels
The cockpit is far from the only fighter jet-inspired flourish on this Chevrolet C8 Corvette. Mxtrem Automobil has just unveiled the Maverick, its heavily modified take on the latest iteration of the iconic sports car. And while it's clear the tuner's first build is based on the C8, it also looks more like an F-18 than something you'd expect to see on the highway. More from Robb Report This All-Electric Chevy Blazer Prototype Is a 1,300 HP Ode to NASCAR The New Chevrolet C8 Corvette ZR1 Keeps Setting New Speed Records The First C8 Corvette ZR1 Just Sold for $3.7 Million It may not look as cartoonish as the Lamborghini Diablo-based Beast, but it seems likely that the Maverick will be one of the more over-the-top custom jobs we see in 2025. Mxtrem has taken the eighth-generation 'Vette's already aggressive design and turned every element up to 11 with an absurd carbon-fiber body kit. Particularly notable changes include the front fascia, which has been refashioned so that it like the nose of a fighter jet, and the rear fenders, which have been reimagined as wings. But the biggest changes can be found at the back of the car, where the rear end has been outfitted with a pair of vertical stabilizers and a set of faux afterburners and missiles. Mxtrem's handiwork isn't limited to the exterior. The two-seater's cabin has also been given a makeover. From the beginning, Chevy hasn't hidden that the C8's cockpit was designed to look like that of a fighter jet, but the tuner has chosen to take things to another level. That includes adding a yoke-style steering wheel and equipping the center console with a flight stick. The driver's seat even also features a grip that we can only assume is meant to resemble an ejection seat handle. And don't worry if there's a feature you think is missing. The shop says it will work with customers to ensure the vehicle, inside and out, meets their specific desires. Mxtrem's website is curiously short on technical details. It does say that customers can choose between a C8 Stingray, Z06, or hybrid-powered E-Ray as their donor vehicle. That suggests that the build will make up to 655 hp. Performance numbers also aren't available, but we're going to go out on a limb and say the Maverick won't be able to still accelerate from zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds. Eager to add a fighter jet on wheels to your collection? Mxtrem is now taking orders for the custom C8, which it says will be limited to just 12 units. No price has been mentioned, but we imagine it won't come of Robb Report The 2024 Chevy C8 Corvette: Everything We Know About the Powerful Mid-Engine Beast The World's Best Superyacht Shipyards The ABCs of Chartering a Yacht Click here to read the full article.
