2 arrested for crash that killed motorcyclist in Fullerton
A man and a woman were arrested on Saturday in connection with a deadly crash that killed a motorcyclist in Fullerton. It happened at around midnight near the intersection of Euclid Street and Bastanchury Road, where officers arrived to find a damaged 1993 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on the ground near a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe that was connected to a 1996 Prowler recreational trailer, according to the Fullerton Police Department. The motorcyclist was also on the ground suffering from serious injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. They say that the woman was driving the Chevrolet eastbound on Bastanchury when she stopped near the center median due to an undisclosed mechanical issue. The second person in the truck, an unidentified man, attempted to reverse and caused the trailer to jack-knife and extend across both lanes of the road, straight into the motorcyclist's path as he traveled westbound on Euclid, police said. "Both the adult female driver and the adult male who attempted to move the vehicle were arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs," police said. "It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in relation to the rider's operation of the motorcycle." Investigators said that the trailer was also damaged in the crash. Anyone who knows more or witnessed the incident is asked to contact investigators at (714) 738-6815.

Motorcyclist killed, 2 arrested for DUI in chaotic Orange County trailer crash
Two people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after a messy RV crash left a motorcyclist dead in Orange County early Saturday morning, and officials are investigating whether the motorcyclist was also driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It happened right around midnight on May 31, according to the Fullerton Police Department, near the intersection of North Euclid Street and Bastanchury Road. Fullerton officers arrived on the scene and found a significantly damaged 1993 Harley Davidson and a seriously injured adult male rider lying on the ground. Nearby, in the middle of a roadway west of the intersection, police said officers found a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe connected to a 1996 Prowler recreational trailer with 'visible collision damage.' Huntington Beach being listed as sanctuary city was 'serious mistake,' mayor says According to the department's preliminary investigation, a woman was driving the Chevy and RV eastbound on West Bastanchury Road when the vehicle 'experienced a mechanical issue' and stopped in the center median. A man who was also in the Chevy traded spots with the driver, attempting to reverse the vehicle, but ended up causing the Chevy and the RV to jack-knife and block off both westbound lanes. It was when the RV was splayed across the westbound lanes that the motorcyclist, traveling from North Euclid Street, crashed into the trailer. Paramedics later arrived at the crash and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released. 'Both the adult female driver and the adult male who attempted to move the vehicle were arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs,' the police department stated. 'It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in relation to the rider's operation of the motorcycle.'
