‘Fortnite' Reveals Battle Pass Skins For Season 3's ‘Star Wars: Galactic Battle'
Fortnite Epic It seemed like Fortnite was running a bit low on major Star Wars characters to put in the game, given that they have most of the staples at this point, but this is not stopping them from doing a full-on Star Wars season for Chapter 6 Season 3. After a fair amount of leaks, we have our first official look at the five battle pass skins that will be a part of season 3, and of course there will be more to follow in the shop. We have: And then Fortnite/Star Wars crossover skins with an OC Jedi variant and a Chewie 'team leader' type skin that may in fact be the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Or close to it. We know there will be Jar Jar Binks (including Darth Jar Jar), customizable Mandalorian armor, Mace Windu and I believe Captain Phasma. The Galactic Battle scene, which has been previewed with the arrival of the Death Star, will also feature X-Wings and TIE Fighters as vehicles. There will be a Mos Eisley landmark on the map and Sand Crawlers filled with loot. There are some theories Fortnite may finally get customizable lightsaber pickaxes, but that is not confirmed. Fortnite Epic As I said, they're really getting into some of the side characters now, though hell yes, I definitely want to play as General Grievous and Darth Jar Jar Binks. I am at least a touch surprised they did not line up this Star Wars season with a Cassian Andor skin, given that the show is currently airing, but I suppose it's far less mainstream than all these other movie-based skins. The shows it has touched on have been the likes of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. Fortnite Chapter 6 season 3 should begin about a week from now, May 2 or 3 I believe, hence the spooling up of all these previews, including which of the promised skins will be in the battle pass, and which are heading to the shop instead. These full crossover seasons tend to be pretty big, and Fortnite has already done this once with Disney with its full Marvel season, and about 60 other Marvel skins as we've seen over the years. Is this the last batch of Star Wars skins if we've gotten all the way to Jar Jar Binks? I have no idea. Did they ever do a Qui-Gon skin? At this point we're probably heading to Admiral Ackbar and Greedo. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Bluesky Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.

Family of Jacob Anstey regifts donated wheelchair accessible van on his birthday
The family of Jacob Anstey is donating a wheelchair accessible van — originally given to them last year — to another family in need to honour the memory of the young boy on what would have been his 12th birthday. Jacob died in November after battling heart issues that stemmed from a cardiac arrest. His van was donated to his family by Get Messy N.L. and Bursey's Bus Service after his mother, Lisa Loveless-Hodder, spoke out about the challenges of finding accessible transportation. "We have a lot of good memories in that van. There was a lot of singalongs and laughs and fart jokes," Loveless-Hodder said Friday. "What Jake would want is to give [the van] to another child who can have the freedom that he got from the van." The van, called Chewie for Jacob's love of Star Wars, was gifted to Sabrina Reid and her six-year-old daughter Avery on Friday morning at Get Messy N.L. WATCH | The keys to 'Chewie' unlock more than a van: Family of Jake Anstey donates his accessible van to another family in need 9 minutes ago Duration 1:34 The business hosted a Star Wars-themed birthday party for Jake to celebrate his memory and hand over the van's keys. "She's now yours with Jake's heart," Loveless-Hodder said. Reid's daughter has severe spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Reid's says the van is going to change her family's life. "It's like we won the lottery," she said. "I can't take her many places on my own anymore. So now I think that it will give us the freedom to go where we want to go." Reid says she already has plans, including registering her daughter for courses at Rainbow Riders. But first, they're going on a family outing with her step-sisters. "We're going to Dairy Queen. That's going to be our first stop," Reid said. While Reid's family enjoys ice cream, Jacob's family plans to dig into his birthday cake, knowing his heart brought a community together. "We decorated our home like we would have done if he was still physically with us, but this was like the ultimate way to really give back on Jake's birthday," Loveless-Hodder said.

Kelly Ripa Admits She's 'Still Not Over' the Death of Her Dog Chewie as Mark Consuelos Assures Her 'It's Very Normal'
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are still mourning the death of their beloved dog, Chewie. On Monday, Feb. 10's episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the couple spoke candidly about still feeling heartbroken about the loss of their 17-year-old pup, who they previously said died on Tuesday at the age of 17 after her health began deteriorating. As they were discussing a Super Bowl ad for Farmer's Dog food that showed the heartwarming bond between a girl and her dog, Ripa, 54, said that she would have been too emotional to even watch the commercial. "But that's okay because we've met so many people since last week [through] the same thing, and it's very normal," Consuelos, 53, said. "The only way to get over it is to get through it, I guess." "But they're still not over it," Ripa continued, explaining the grieving process that so many pet owners go through. "They're not over it," her husband replied. "But it'll get better, I promise." The couple first shared the news of their Shih Tzu's death on Wednesday, Feb. 5 during their episode of Live with Kelly and Mark a "We had a rough day yesterday. We had to say goodbye to Chewie yesterday," Consuelos said at the time, explaining that the pair had a vet come to their New York City apartment for in-home humane euthanasia. "Chewie had stopped eating for a couple of days and had been eating less and less for the past few weeks. She was extremely dehydrated and had some neurological stuff going down," Consuelos said. "And you think, 'Okay, I'm doing the right thing, this is going to be not easy but...' It's probably one of the toughest things we've had to do as a married couple." "I know pet owners at home can understand this," he added, before opening up about the dog's illnesses that had taken hold over the last days of her time. "It takes a pet owner to understand this kind of loss. It's grief. It really is grief. But knowing that we did the right thing because it was just going to be really, really, really bad over the next few days for her."
