Sara Khan Accuses Fashion Event Organisers Of Mental Harassment: 'Left Me In Shady Hotel'
Sara Khan accused Delhi 6 Fashion Runway Week organisers of mental harassment and unsafe conditions. She shared her ordeal online. Sara Khan has levelled serious allegations against the organisers of the Delhi 6 Fashion Runway Week, claiming she was mentally harassed and placed in unsafe conditions during her visit to the capital. The actress took to social media on August 4 to detail her ordeal, warning others in the entertainment and fashion industry to be cautious while dealing with event organisers. Khan, who rose to fame with her debut in Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, shared a video where she explained her version of events surrounding the August 2 fashion show she was invited to attend. Despite being a regular visitor to Delhi and having fond memories of the city, Khan said this trip was 'the most terrible experience" of her career, which spans nearly two decades. 'I've been working in this industry since almost 18 years and this is the most terrible experience of my life. I was supposed to attend the event on August 2 in Delhi, a city I've always loved and they have been so welcoming always. However, the organisers failed to provide the basic safety, hospitality and commitments they promised," she said in the video. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sara Khan (@ssarakhan) According to her, not only was there a last-minute change of accommodation without any prior intimation, but she was also relocated to what she described as a 'shady place" with no proper assistance from the organising team. 'The only arrangement was a car with a driver, which I found very unacceptable. When I refused to proceed, one of the organisers threatened my team members," she said, adding that she eventually had to arrange her own return travel for safety reasons. Without naming individuals, Khan called out the organisers for breaching trust and professionalism, and extended an apology to fans who were expecting her at the show. 'My safety was at risk and I had to prioritise that," she said. 'This experience was completely unacceptable and I'm speaking out to warn others in the industry." On the professional front, Sara was last seen in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya and has featured in numerous TV shows and films, including Bigg Boss 4, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, and Lock Upp. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. The popular family drama, which first aired in May 2010, became one of Indian television 's most enduring and beloved serials. Devoleena, who became a household name as Gopi Bahu , replaced the original lead and went on to redefine the role with her own charm and conviction. Reflecting on the journey, Devoleena shared, 'If I look back, my show completed 15 years… but it feels like it just happened yesterday. I still feel the butterflies in me. It was a life-changing experience. I entered the show replacing someone, and it was a huge challenge. Though the show is over, it is still celebrated — my viewers have made Gopi Bahu immortal.' For Devoleena, the show's impact went beyond fame. It was the beginning of a spiritual journey. While playing Gopi, I literally connected to Lord Krishna. I started reading books on Shri Krishna, and enjoyed a new journey of devotion and dedication… it remains unchanged till date.' As the show marks a special milestone, Devoleena concluded with heartfelt emotion: 'I feel extremely emotional when people still recognise me as Gopi Bahu. I fall short of words while talking about the show.' Devoleena has since appeared in Bigg Boss and starred in shows like Dil Diyaan Gallaan and Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya.
