"The Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich offers the perfect complement: it's savory with layers of flavor that feel indulgent, yet distinctly Chick-fil-A." Also in the new fall lineup are two new potato chip flavors, available in a waffle cut that mimics Chick-fil-A's famous waffle fries: the Original Flavor Waffle Potato Chip and Chick-fil-A Sauce Flavored Waffle Potato Chip. The chips will be available in 7 ounce bags for purchase at retailers in the Atlantic and Southeast this fall. What Happens Next The fast-food industry will likely continue facing pricing pressures as food inputs surge. The average price of food in the United States rose by 3 percent year-over-year in June, up from an annual increase of 2.9 percent in May, according to the U.S. Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics. "Companies are looking to find ways to increase consumer appetite by introducing new limited time products that are seasonal as well as new combo meals to entice the consumer back," Thompson said. "Many have seen prices, especially at Chick-fil-A rise so much, consumers have throttled back spending."

Chick-fil-A and Taco Bell are introducing new, limited-time menu items, just in time for summer. Chick-fil-A is bringing back its Peach Milkshake for a 16th season and introducing a Peach Frosted Lemonade as well. According to Chick-fil-A, the Peach Frosted Lemonade is made with Chick-fil-A Lemonade or Diet Lemonade and peaches, mixed with Chick-fil-A's Icedream dessert, the same base as the Peach Milkshake, which is crafted with Icedream dessert, peaches, whipped cream and a cherry. "There's something about the Peach Milkshake that really feels like the start of summer, and for 16 years, our Guests have expected -- and anticipated -- its return," Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, said in a statement. "As we continue to surprise and delight our Guests with new and unique flavors throughout the year, we wanted to offer a spin on the peach taste everyone knows and loves with the Peach Frosted Lemonade. So whether it's a picnic in the park with friends, or a weeknight dinner with family, our Peach treats -- paired with crispy Chick-n-Strips -- are the perfect duo to share a bite and soak up the flavors of summer." According to Chick-fil-A, both summer drinks "will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last." The crispy chicken additions are all under $10, with a Crispy Chicken Taco going for $2.79, the Crispy Chicken Burrito priced at $5.49 and a two-piece Crispy Chicken Strips set for $3.99.
