GREGGS is set to open its first branch in a busy Scottish town.
The high street favourite has set its sights on an empty store in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire.

The chain is looking to move into the retail unit of the former Ashvale chip shop on Muirend Court.
The unit is currently on the market and is said to be under offer.
Greggs, which is beloved for its sausage rolls and steak bakes, is advertising jobs for the new bakery.
A number of adverts have appeared on the Greggs website, the Press and Journal reports.
The positions being advertised include shift managers and team members.
No further details have been revealed.
Greggs has been approached for comment.
The bakery giant also recently lodged plans to open a new branch in another Scots town.
Greggs is looking to open a new store in the former Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland shop on Fenwick Road, Giffnock.
Plans for an "interior fit-out of an existing ground floor retail unit" have been submitted to East Renfrewshire Council.

It comes as Greggs shut 56 of its stores in the first half of this year, it emerged last week, leaving it with 2,649 shops at the end of June.
A total of 27 of the closures were said to be "relocations".
Meanwhile, the chain has opened 87 new stores this year, with bosses saying they hope to open between 140 and 150 new branches in 2025.
