Patrick Mahomes, Xavier Worthy make early connection downfield at Chiefs Training Camp
Play of the day for the first day of #Chiefs Training camp! 🏈Patrick Mahomes to Xavier Worthy on a deep pass. The vertical passing game has been a point of emphasis for the team heading into this season. I'd say it's off to a good start.@KRCG13 | #ChiefsKingdom Kansas City Chiefs fans didn't have to wait long to see star quarterback Patrick Mahomes complete a deep pass to speedy wide receiver Xavier Worthy at training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Tuesday. In a video that was shared to Twitter by Sports Anchor/Reporter Bryan Hudnell of KRCG 13, Mahomes could be seen connecting with Worthy on a deep strike during 7-on-7 drills. Worthy, who joined the Chiefs as the No. 28 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, added some much-needed speed to Kansas City's offense last season and put together a spectacular individual performance in the team's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Take a look at Mahomes' outstanding pass to Worthy below: Given the uncertainty surrounding veteran wideout Rashee Rice's status for the 2025 season, Mahomes is likely to rely on Worthy as one of his most targeted receivers in the passing game. Fans can look forward to seeing more highlight plays from Mahomes and Worthy during training camp and the preseason.

Patrick Mahomes Shows Off Fourth of July Vacation 'Dad Bod' with Brittany In Photos Going Viral originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs leader Patrick Mahomes is a winner like no other when it comes today's NFL. ... and his pursuit of title success - he's led the Chiefs to five AFC titles and three Super Bowl wins - is proof of that. Advertisement Work ethic is also key to his Kansas City legacy. But a guy needs a day off once in awhile. So ... Patrick and wife Brittany Mahomes, recently took to social media to show going-viral footage of their offseason vacation. ... the post timed perfectly for the Fourth of July ... complete with All-American colors for the pics. Brittany appears to be lovingly checking our her All-Pro husband while Patrick flaunts his famous "dad bod.'' This side of their pals Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the Mahomes rank as a top power couple in sports ... and maybe beyond. As entertainment world proof, note that Brittany currently has over 2.1 million followers on Instagram. Advertisement Meanwhile, Patrick is all about football, as he is planning to build on what the Chiefs did a year ago - Mahomes led the team to a 17-3 mark in the regular season before losing (badly) to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl - in the upcoming season. What might his numbers look like in 2025? Mahomes' stats should trend upward from last year. Are we talking MVP level - say, 5,250 yards, 41 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2023 when he won the individual honor? Maybe. But first ... some rest and relaxation before it all kicks off.
