(KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is actively searching for a man who they say threatened an entire household. Billy Ray Russell is wanted in connection with a disturbing domestic incident that occurred on April 21, 2025 Based on statements from three children at the scene, around 1 p.m., an argument between Russell and the victim began in the garage and quickly escalated. Aggressive fleeing in Shreveport results in multiple arrests During the confrontation, Russell allegedly grabbed a gun and pointed it at the victim and began to make threats. Witnesses say Russell declared he would kill everyone in the home if they called police, then fled the scene with the gun still in his possession. Warrants have been issued for Billy Ray Russell on the following charges: Domestic Abuse Battery, Child Endangerment Law Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault Anyone with information on Russell's whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Shreveport Police Department says they are searching for a suspect who violently abused a his girlfriend with a dumbbell and injured her 7-month-old baby. On February 20, patrol officers were dispatched to a local hospital where they found a woman receiving treatment for her injuries. The victim reported that her live-in boyfriend, Rodriques Strickland, came home intoxicated and assaulted her multiple times using his fists and household items, including a weighted dumbbell. 'Disturbingly, the victim was holding their 7-month-old son during the attack, and at some point, Strickland's fist struck the infant. A family member later took the baby to receive medical attention for his injuries, which were determined to be non-life-threatening.' Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Detectives said they observed multiple swollen areas and a small gash on the victim's forehead. The infant sustained a bruised left eye. As a result of the investigation, warrants have been issued for Strickland's arrest on the following charges: Domestic Abuse Battery Committed with a Dangerous Weapon Domestic Abuse Battery – Child Endangerment Law Cruelty to Juveniles Anyone with information on Strickland's whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at (318) 673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
