Libya discusses resumption of Chinese Embassy operations in Tripoli

The Acting Foreign Minister of the Government of National Unity, Al-Taher Al-Baour, has met with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, Liu Jian. The two officials discussed ongoing arrangements for the embassy's return to full operations in Tripoli, including the resumption of consular services for Libyan citizens and residents. The meeting also covered the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation between Libya and China across various sectors, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, both sides reviewed the outcomes of the recent China–Africa Coordination Conference at the foreign ministers' level, emphasizing the importance of continued consultation, enhanced coordination, and joint efforts to support development initiatives and advance continental integration within the China–Africa partnership framework.
