‘Stronger forever': Nigerian superstar Davido weds Chioma in star-studded Miami wedding
Nigerian musician Davido and Chef Chioma Rowland recently celebrated their star-studded white wedding in Miami, following their traditional ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.
The couple exchanged heartfelt vows, with Davido gifting Chioma a $300 000 Richard Mille timepiece, delighting fans across social media.
Together since meeting in 2013, their journey has included public declarations of love, personal tragedies, and the recent addition of twins to their family.
Nigerian musician and global sensation Davido, born David Adedeji Adeleke and widely known for his hit song 'If', has married his long-term partner, Chioma Rowland, in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Miami.
The couple had reportedly held their traditional wedding ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, last June.
The white wedding, which took place over the weekend, featured top Nigerian and American artists such as Kirk Franklin, Adekunle Gold, and Joeboy.

A standout moment was Davido's extravagant wedding gift to Chioma - a $300 000 (approximately R5.3 million) Richard Mille timepiece, which she proudly displayed in photos captured throughout the joyous occasion.

'You've been my best friend, my healer, my calm in every storm,' Davido said. 'God sent you to show me deep, unconditional love. We're still here, stronger forever. I promise to protect you with my actions.' Chioma, in turn, pledged: 'As a symbol of my vows to you and all that I have, all that I am, I honour you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.'

The couple's love story dates back to 2013, when they first met at Babcock University in Ogun State, Nigeria. At the time, Davido was pursuing a bachelor's degree in music, while Chioma was studying economics.
Chioma later pursued a career in food, becoming a professional chef known as Chef Chi.
Their relationship remained private for several years, officially becoming public in 2018 when Davido began sharing photos and videos of Chioma on his social media platforms. In 2019, she starred in his 'Assurance' music video, a gesture that showcased their love to the world.

Opening up about the relationship at the time, Davido expressed gratefulness to have met her before his incredible rise to fame, stating that she loved him for him and not his success.
Shortly afterwards, the pair welcomed a son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who died in 2022 following a drowning incident at their home. In 2023, they reportedly welcomed twins, a baby boy and girl, who they have kept well out of the public eye.
