With a dedicated focus on teamwork, Carver girls, Joseph Case boys rule Division 6 Relays
'To put it on one person, I'd say it's the team, that's what the relays are about. I couldn't single one that won this. It's definitely just the whole team.'
That included a third-place finish in the 4x100-meter shuttle hurdles (1:17.03) from the quartet of Chloe Christen, Taryn Barkowski, Carly Peterson, and Sarah Baptiste and fourth in the 1,600-meter sprint medley (4:55.30) from Barkowsky, Maegan Mcenaney, Josie Helms, and Alyssa Virden.

Despite absences in the lineup, Joseph Case won the boys' title with 78 points, outdistancing defending champion Amesbury (65 points), and Carver (61).

'They're young, a lot of sophomores, underclassmen, and the seniors really stepped up with the leadership,' said Case assistant coach Nick Santos.
Senior captain Tyler Lamonde was part of the fourth-place 4x200 relay team that finished in 1:35.34 and the 4x100 relay that finished seventh (45.38).
The 4x100 shuttle hurdle unit of Alex Arruda, Devin Flattery, Anderson Emard, and Ray St. Pieree set a meet record (1:08.88) to place first.
'Going into the race I was nervous, but I knew I had the team behind myself,' said Lamonde. 'I decided to kick it and it made the difference.'

Captain Trevor Godfrey felt confident going into the 4x400 relay, which placed second with a blazing 3:32.14 finish.
'I just have so much faith in my team. I know they're all going to put up the numbers that they need to. There's no doubt in my mind,' said Godfrey. 'I knew my teammates had my back, so I was ready to go.'
Joseph Case teamed up for the MSTCA Division 6 Relays championship in West Bridgewater.
