In January 2024, she revealed that she had given birth to their son Halo in December of the previous year. The couple had previously begun dating in January 2022 before splitting in October 2024. According to the documents, Bailey claim that she tried to have a discussion with DDG in January of this year about his schedule for visiting their son when he dropped by her home. After the conversation, he allegedly became incensed as Bailey tried to buckle their son into a car seat in his vehicle. She claims that he repeatedly shouted, 'Get out of my car, b****.' But after seeing how upset DDG had become, Bailey says she was afraid to leave him with his father, especially after Halo began crying in the midst of the confrontation. She claims things escalated as DDG began tussling with her and grabbed her hair before smashing her face against his steering wheel. Bailey says the impact chipped her tooth, and she included a close-up photo in her documents that appears to show a small chip missing from one of her top front incisors. Bailey says DDG then backed off, but even though she was now sobbing and in pain, she didn't want to leave Halo alone with DDG. His family was there, and after she confessed what had happened, they agreed to take care of her son After determining that Halo would be safe, Bailey — who said she felt 'hysterical' at the time — left and later snapped photos of bruises on her arm, which were included in her restraining order request. Her issues with her baby daddy continued, and she alleges that in March he entered her home without permission at night. Bailey, who was away at the time, claims that DDG took a photo of her bed and sent it to her because he suspected her of hooking up with other people — even though they had been broken up for around five months at that point. He wrote 'now I know what u been on lol' to accompany his text message with the photo of her bed. Less than a week later, Bailey says DDG returned to her home and became violent when she turned down his request to take Halo with him. She says she told her ex that their son shouldn't be going anywhere, as she and Halo were sick, but DDG responded by allegedly hurling insults at her and destroying her Ring security camera before snatching her phone and running out to his car. The singer says he returned days later, but when she wouldn't let DDG take their son because he was sick, he allegedly broke her Ring camera, snatched her phone and tossed it from his car window while driving away; pictured May 6 in NYC Bailey says DDG then drove off and taunted her by tossing the phone out his window and screaming, 'Go get it b****!' The singer–turned–actress, who says she has security cam footage confirming her account of the incident, later filed a police report against DDG. Bailey notes that around the time of the alleged property destruction, DDG claimed on X that she had been preventing him from spending time with Halo. In a post that was swiftly deleted, he wrote, 'been fighting to see my son for months now... shout out to all the Dads who try their best to be there. this s*** sucks.' But even after deleting the post, DDG doubled down in a subsequent livestream and threatened to take Bailey to court over their visitation schedule. 'The nanny has been able to have my son more than me, and I don't even know the nanny's name,' he claimed at the time. Bailey indicates in her filing that she finally decided to take legal action to protect herself after she took a trip last weekend to the Caribbean island St. Lucia with her son and her sister Chloe, which coincided with Mother's Day. She included screenshots of text conversations that appeared to show DDG pestering her while on holiday by sending her links to social media posts claiming that both she and the singer Brent Faiyaz were vacationing on the island, with the implication being that they were spending time together. Bailey decided to file for a restraining order in response to the unhinged messages, in which DDG alleged shared posts accusing her of being with the singer Brent Faiyaz and calling her 'disgusting and evil' Baily and DDG have also been ordered to attend a virtual mediation session to work out a parenting plan for their son; pictured in February in LA 'u think u hurting my feelings when u really just ruining your own image. this is a terrible look. makes u look disgusting and evil,' her ex allegedly texted her, according to the screenshots. 'enjoy your vacation. happy mother's day. but just have the same energy when it's my turn to have him 💪 i'm on the same s***.' 'darryl, are u not tired of harassing me?' Bailey allegedly replied, before saying that she was 'not with any man out here.' 'i wouldn't do that, i have halo. i told ur mom i was gonna be with my sister last week.. please let me enjoy my mother's day in peace,' she continued, adding, 'i hope you are okay and feel better soon.' Bailey claimed that DDG's earlier posts about her and Halo had been creating an uproar against her from his fans, so the judge who granted her restraining order said he must no longer refer to his ex and their child in his videos, livestreams and social media posts. He is also now required to stay at least 100 yards from her at all times. As part of the judge's order, Bailey — who is continuing her film career after starring in the title role in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid — will be allowed to take Halo with her when she leaves soon for a two-month film shoot in Italy. She and DDG have also been ordered to attend a virtual mediation session to work out a parenting plan for their son.
