DDG Files Motion To Block Halle Bailey From Taking Their Son Abroad
DDG and Halle Bailey's relationship has been experiencing some intense hurdles over the last year, with their disagreements often involving their son, Halo. The Pontiac, Mich., rapper filed a motion on Wednesday morning (June 4) in an attempt to keep his one-year-old in the United States against the plans of his child's mother.
Per TMZ, DDG filed an emergency motion to stop Halle from taking their infant son out of the country. The 6x nominated songstress reportedly had plans to travel with Halo to Italy on Saturday (June 7) for work, and her ex-boyfriend requested an emergency hearing because he 'worries about what she might do if she leaves the court's jurisdiction,' according to the outlet.
He is claiming Halle poses an 'imminent emotional and psychological risk' to the child.
DDG also cited multiple alleged events that support would his claims. In the motion, he said when Halle was pregnant, she allegedly took his gun and left the house without telling him where she was going. He eventually found her outside holding the weapon, and it remained unused by her. DDG also claims the Little Mermaid actress tried to have an abortion behind his back, but did not go through with it.
The rapper added Halley once sent 'a series of alarming text messages threatening to kill herself and suggesting that their infant son, Halo, might also be harmed.'
Allegations of negative behavior have come from both sides of the former relationship. The Chloe x Halle member was granted a temporary restraining order against DDG last month after accusing him of physical abuse. In an incident with photos included in her complaint, she alleged DDG once slammed her face on a steering wheel, chipping her tooth, while he came to pick up Halo.
She addressed her Italy travel plans in her complaint, which was approved on May 15. 'I have family and a nanny who will be traveling with me to care for Halo while I am working,' Halle wrote in the court documents.

'Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo' rocker and former Sarasota resident Rick Derringer dies
Guitar hero and rock 'n' roll legend Rick Derringer, of 'Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo' and "Hang On, Sloopy" fame, has died in Ormond Beach, according to reports on TMZ and other outlets. The former Sarasota-Manatee resident was 77. Derringer's wife, Jenda, told TMZ that the rock icon died "peacefully" after being taken off life support Monday night following a medical episode. His caretaker and close friend, Tony Wilson, reported on the TMZ website that Derringer had undergone triple bypass surgery just two months ago, but had been doing well. That changed on Monday night, Wilson told the website, when Derringer went into something that Wilson described as 'some sort of shock' as he prepared for bed. He died at an undisclosed hospital, according to the family. It's unclear whether Derringer was a full-time resident in Volusia or Flagler counties, but he is listed as co-owner of a home at Latitude Margaritaville's 55-and-older community in Daytona Beach, according to Volusia County Property Appraiser records. Ticket Newsletter: Sign up to receive restaurant and music news, reviews, and fun things to do every Friday In a six-decade career, Derringer was a Zelig-like figure who was involved in an astonishing array of music by performers that defied genre expectations. Born in Celina, Ohio, Derringer was 17 when he scored his first chart-topping hit, 'Hang On, Sloopy,' with the McCoys in the summer of 1965. The song displaced 'Yesterday,' by the Beatles at the top of the pop charts. From there, Derringer went on to an array of successful collaborations with luminaries that ranged from Johnny and Edgar Winter to Steely Dan, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Weird Al Yankovic, Cyndi Lauper and Barbra Streisand. A fiery, versatile and high-profile presence on New York's rock scene during the 1970s and '80s, Derringer produced the Edgar Winter Group's 1972 No. 1 single 'Frankenstein,' in addition to playing guitar for the band for several years. Rick Derringer's signature solo hit, 'Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo,' was released in 1973. The first verse includes the lyrics: 'There was a group called The Jokers, they were layin' it down, 'cause ya know I'm never gonna lose that funky sound.' The Jokers featured a pre-fame Dickey Betts, who grew up in the Bradenton area and died at his Sarasota County home in 2024. About 15 years after the song's release, Betts and Derringer performed 'Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo' together—a recording that can be heard on the Betts concert album "Live from the Lone Star Roadhouse NYC 1988." Derringer would eventually relocate to the same Sarasota-Manatee area that Betts had called home for most of his life. Although 'Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo' was originally recorded by Johnny Winter, Derringer's version eclipsed the original — appearing on the soundtrack of the 1993 cult classic "Dazed and Confused" and resurfacing recently on the soundtrack for the fourth season of the Netflix hit series "Stranger Things." Derringer also toured extensively throughout the 1970s, offering shows heavy on guitar dueling and showmanship, perhaps best captured on his '77 LP "Derringer Live." In the early 1980s, he played guitar solos on two massive singles written by Meatloaf collaborator Jim Steinman: Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and Air Supply's 'Making Love Out of Nothing at All.' Derringer's collaborations with singer Cyndi Lauper in the mid-1980s resulted in a connection to the world of professional wrestling. In 1985, he produced the World Wrestling Federation's 'The Wrestling Album,' which included the Hulk Hogan theme song 'Real American.' Like so many things that Derringer created, that song also endured. It has been employed by politicians ranging from President Barack Obama to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as well as President Trump. Rick Derringer's connection to Sarasota-Manatee dates back at least two decades and includes a stint as a Realtor. In 2006, the Herald-Tribune reported that the guitar great had become a sales agent for Sarasota's McKenna and Associates Realty. That same year, Derringer also appeared as a pitchman for Fidelity Investments in a television commercial aimed at baby boomer retirees. Derringer and his 'third and last wife,' Jenda, were born-again Christians who preferred to focus on the present rather than dwell on past rock 'n' roll excesses or successes, according to the Herald-Tribune. Still, Derringer knew that succeeding in real estate meant being visible: 'Letting people know what you do,' he said. Raised Catholic, he was reborn in a 1998 river baptism. By 2006, Derringer was attending various evangelical churches across Sarasota and Manatee counties, where he sometimes performed. Married since 1998, he credited Jenda with helping 'manage the whole person, not just the career.' The couple owned nine investment properties scattered throughout Southwest Florida, including rental units that generated cash flow, according to the Herald-Tribune. Despite his wife's misgivings, Derringer still loved to perform live, playing about 30 shows annually. He told the Herald-Tribune he earned between $5,000 and $10,000 per gig, depending on the venue. In the 1990s, Derringer met Damon Fowler, then a teenage guitar wunderkind from Brandon. Impressed by his playing, Derringer produced Fowler's 1999 debut album, "Riverview Drive." Fowler later moved to Anna Maria Island in Manatee County and became a national blues star, with his 2021 album "Alafia Moon" debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart. 'Rick was a really great guy, a very interesting fellow, and I learned a lot from him,' Fowler said Tuesday, May 27, by phone from his Plant City home. 'I cherish the time I got to spend with him. He was an amazing guitar player — one of the most fantastic I've ever had the chance to hang out with and see in person.' Fowler added: 'I don't think people realize how much Rick was involved in music. He played all kinds of genres. He was a producer. He played on Steely Dan records. He helped Cyndi Lauper get a record deal, toured with her, and played on her early demos. He worked with 'Weird Al' Yankovic. And of course, Johnny Winter and Edgar Winter. That's just scratching the surface. The guy was incredibly prolific. He truly loved music.' DDG seeks sole custody of son with Halle Bailey, granted temporary protection
Halle Bailey's ex DDG has been granted a temporary restraining order against her, weeks after the actress was granted her own temporary restraining order against DDG over allegations of physical and verbal abuse. DDG, 27, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., filed for a restraining order against the "Little Mermaid" actress, 25, on Wednesday. The filing comes three weeks after Bailey requested sole legal and physical custody of the pair's son Halo. In her petition last month, Bailey said she was "seeking permission to take Halo" with her to film in Italy. DDG, a rapper, YouTuber and Twitch streamer, filed a motion this week requesting an emergency hearing, asking for sole legal and physical custody of their son and for the court to restrict Bailey from traveling internationally with Halo. The court denied that request until a hearing could be held on the matter. MORE: Enter headline of content here DDG also claimed in the declaration he filed that he endured instances of physical abuse and coercion. He claimed Bailey "poses an immediate threat to my safety and emotional well-being and more importantly, to the stability and safety of our son" in the filing. DDG specifically claimed Bailey allegedly "routinely used emotional coercion, including but not limited to threats of self-harm" when he attempted to leave their relationship, allegedly "weaponized our pregnancy" with threats that she would "abort our baby should I not reconcile or accede to her demands," and allegedly invaded his privacy, according to the declaration. He included third-party statements from his mother, Tonya Granberry, and her fiancé, George Charlston to try and support his claims. Tonya Granberry claimed in a declaration filed with DDG's TRO request that she and Charlston allegedly discovered several AirTags, which she claimed were "left behind" by Bailey, and alleging it was a "clear and deliberate pattern of unauthorized surveillance and stalking" of her son. On Wednesday, the court granted a temporary order of protection for DDG against Bailey, ordering her not to, in part, harass, assault, stalk, impersonating, or surveil DDG. The court denied his request for "no-contact" and "stay-away" orders until a hearing. DDG's lawyer, Larry M. Bakman, told "Good Morning America" that the custody-related issues regarding DDG and Bailey's son are pending and that DDG "remains committed to resolving them through the appropriate legal channels, not the court of public opinion." Bakman stated that a hearing on both requests for domestic violence restraining orders is set for June 24. Attorneys and representatives for Bailey did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the temporary restraining order against her. Halle Bailey says her grandparents helped her overcome 'The Little Mermaid' casting backlash In her petition last month, Bailey accused DDG of starting "drama" and "badmouthing" her to his fans. She also alleged that DDG had been physically and verbally abusive with her since their split in 2024, which she claimed was due to DDG's "temper and lack of respect towards me." She also claimed in a declaration included with her TRO request that "incidents of physical abuse" allegedly occurred before their son was born. According to the declaration, the actress claimed that when Halo is in DDG's care, their son is usually left with DDG's mother. "I cannot keep living like this," Bailey stated at the time. "I never know when he is going to demand our son be in his Mother's care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse." Bailey also stated that she wants Halo to be close with DDG's family but said DDG "should be present instead of simply leaving Halo with his family for days." Ex-NFL player's girlfriend shares claims of intense physical abuse
The post Ex-NFL player's girlfriend shares claims of intense physical abuse appeared first on ClutchPoints. Greg Hardy is once again at the center of serious allegations. According to documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the former NFL defensive end's girlfriend told police he physically assaulted her during a heated argument over alleged infidelity, per TMZ. The incident reportedly unfolded on Wednesday afternoon in Texas. Hardy's girlfriend claimed the two were returning home from the park with their children when tension began building. When Hardy asked what was wrong, she allegedly told him they would talk later — not wanting to argue in front of the kids. Once they got home, she confronted him about suspicious messages she had seen on his phone. She accused him of cheating while out of town. At that point, she said Hardy snapped. According to her statement, Hardy told her to get out of his face, then shoved her in the chest with both hands, knocking her onto the bed. She alleged he climbed on top of her and used one hand to press her neck down. She did not lose consciousness but said she struggled beneath him. When she kicked at him in defense, Hardy allegedly grabbed her legs and twisted her body in the process. Police were called to the scene around 2 PM. Officers noted visible scratches and redness on the woman's arms. When asked to rate her pain, she described it as a one on a scale of one to 10. Hardy, 36, had already left the home when officers arrived. Police said he fled in a white 2018 GMC Acadia but was later located and taken into custody at 2:29 p.m. local time. Online records show he was charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member. As of Thursday morning, no bond had been set. This is not the first time Greg Hardy has faced troubling accusations. The former Pro Bowler's past includes a 2014 domestic violence case that effectively ended his NFL career. These new claims threaten to once again put his name in the spotlight — for all the wrong reasons.
