Both Easter and Passover are right around the corner, and stores are stocking up on egg-shaped chocolates and Charoset ingredients.
Ahead of the two April holidays, Instacart published its 2025 Easter and Passover Report revealing the most popular sweets and meals ordered for celebrations last year.
This includes the 10 treats most likely to appear on Easter baskets this upcoming year, from Kinder's Chocolate Candy Egg to Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. Fans of the iconic marshmallow candy brand Peeps may find themselves shocked the colorful bunny and chick-shaped treats did not make the top 10 last year.
The grocery delivery service also shared last year's most controversial meals for those who celebrate Passover of Easter. While items like honey baked ham and matzo ball soup were the most purchased for the holidays, an Instacart survey found that a hefty portion of consumers aren't fans.
At the top of the list is the gefilte fish, a traditional Jewish dish made from ground fish served cold with horseradish. While this meal saw a 1,300% increase in Instacart orders last Passover season, about 44% of survey participants said they actually disliked the dish.
