Assoc Prof Elizabeth Tham and Dr Chong Kok Wee on national study on childhood food allergies
2,000 children will participate in a national food allergy study as hospitals in Singapore see a spike in cases. Associate Professor Elizabeth Tham, head of the Division of Paediatric Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology at the Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children's Medical Institute, and Dr Chong Kok Wee, head and senior consultant of Allergy Service at KKH's Department of Paediatrics, shared more about the prevalence of childhood food allergies and the impact on society. Both of them are researchers behind the national study.
