Dog owners urged to stop playing fetch with tennis ball
Dog owners have been issued a stern warning by Aussie vet and media personality Dr Chris Brown against a common practice. Appearing on Sunrise, the vet detailed what he would never do as a pet owner with the most notable coming in as a shock to some people — playing fetch with a tennis ball. Talking to hosts Matt Shirvington and Natalie Barr, the animal expert talked about the dangers of giving your furry friends a tennis ball. 'A lot of dogs are absolutely ball obsessed — ball is life,' Dr Brown said on Sunrise. 'They chase balls, that puts a lot of stress on their joints... they generally get early onset arthritis on their hips, their knees. 'The biggest thing is the fur on a tennis ball is highly abrasive to be able to withstand hard courts when playing tennis. 'It will actually wear down their teeth, so ball obsessed dogs will often have worn down teeth.' Archie won during the Esperance Dog Club best ball catcher competition. Some other tips the popular Bondi vet gave included only feeding dogs once a day and not plucking their ear hairs. 'If you feed your dog once a day, they will live longer, they will have a lower risk of cognitive decline - doggy dementia - then if you feed them two or three times a day,' he said. 'It helps to regulate their blood sugar, insulin release, and actually means their brain stays younger for longer.' Dr Chris Brown urged pet owners to follow his important tips. Credit: Sunrise This sparked viewers to voice their opinions about feeding their dogs once a day, receiving mixed reviews about the tip. 'Try telling a Labrador one feed a day, i have to hide just to eat my lunch,' one commentor wrote. 'My dog vomits up bile if she doesn't eat multiple times a day,' a sentiment one shared that was echoed by many. 'Our Maltese lived to 16 years. Only fed 1x a day and was still very energetic until the end,' a person said agreeing with the advice. A surprising fact that he gave was saying that cats should never be left alone for more than 24 hours, claiming that the perceived independent animal will feel lonely. 'A lot of people think that cats are very independent, sometimes a bit aloof... research shows they experience more separation anxiety then dogs do.' His other helpful tip for pet owners was to never use fly sprays or cockroach bombs around fish tanks.

Jason Derulo under fire for posting 'evil' Rihanna and Chris Brown AI-generated picture
Jason Derulo has been slammed for posting an 'evil' AI-generated photo of Rihanna and ex Chris Brown this week. Derulo, 35, shocked fans as his official Facebook page shared a bizarre snap of Brown, 36, attending the pregnant singer's gender reveal party, captioned: 'Chris Brown went to Rihanna gender revealed party.' [sic] #nickiminaj #BOOMchallenges #photography #USAToday.' In the faked snap, Rihanna, 37, cradles her bump as Brown presents her with a gift, while her boyfriend A$AP Rocky stands beside her smiling at Brown - with several glitches in the photo's background giving away that it is AI. Rihanna and Brown famously sparked up a romance in 2008 which ended in shocking fashion when the Loyal hitmaker attacked her after a pre-Grammys party in 2009. He was later convicted of felony assault. They briefly and controversially rekindled their romance in 2012 before splitting for good in 2013. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Stunned fans took to social media to lambast the photo, with one writing: 'Oh boy this is evil.' One fan asked 'was he hacked? This actually seems like the thing a hacker would do' with another responding: 'If he had posted it, it would have been removed within the hour with a half-hearted apology saying he was hacked with a new music announcement.' A third typed: 'This is just like the stupid ragebait s**t hackers post. If not, he's dead to me.' Others wrote: ' Okay....A.I gone too far. Stop. 'Does Chris brown know he attended Rihanna's gender reveal party? 'y'all he beat her to a pulp, he ain't there, this is AI.' Some followers speculated AI could even be running Derulo's page writing: 'celebrity Facebook pages all seem to be run by AI.' 'He sold that page to the bots I fear.' Some followers speculated AI could even be running Derulo's page writing: 'celebrity Facebook pages all seem to be run by AI.' 'He sold that page to the bots I fear.' - pictured Rihanna and A$AP on May 19 2025 It is not known if Derulo himself posted the photo or his account management. has contacted representatives for Jason Derulo for further comment. Brown previously opened up about the night he punched his then-girlfriend Rihanna in the face, describing how things took a turn for the worse after he came clean about his sexual past with a woman who once worked for him. Chris claimed that the confession came as a shock to the Barbadian singer after he had previously told her they were never romantically involved - causing their relationship to turn violent The infamous night started after the woman Chris confessed about appeared at a Clive Davis party, where both he and Rihanna were attending. He claimed he had asked the woman prior to the party to stop going to places he would be at. 'That changed my life,' he said as he looked back at the night. 'I made sure the person I was involved with before, I said hey, you can't come around to these places. And the person comes in, comes right to the table and says, "Hey what's up y'all." And I already know it's an issue, so I say "Hey cool" and I keep it moving. 'I look over at Rihanna and she's bawling, she's crying.' Though things lightened up for the couple as Chris revealed they had a few drinks that night and he later offered her his cell phone for proof that he had no idea she would be there. To his surprise, the woman had indeed texted him that she would be at the same party - leaving her enraged, he revealed. 'She starts going off, she throws the phone, "I hate you!", whatever, whatever, she starts hitting me, we're in a little Lamborghini, you know she's fighting me.' He says he pleaded with her that he was telling the truth. But he says she continued to hit him. 'Like I remember she tried to kick me, just like her beating sh*t, but then I really hit her. With a closed fist, like I punched her, and it busted her lip, and when I saw it I was in shock, I was "f**k, why did I hit her like that?" 'So from there she' blood in my face, it raised me even more. It's a real fight in the car, and we driving in the street. Following the incident, Chris plead guilty to one count of felony assault and served probation for the crime. Rihanna found it hard to move on from her first love, breaking in tears when quizzed about their volatile relationship on Oprah's Next Chapter in 2012. She said: 'I lost my best friend - like everything I knew switched in a night, and I couldn't control that.' Rihanna moved on with A$AP, confirming their relationship in 2020. They are now parents to two sons RZA, three, Riot and 21 months and are expecting their child together. Meanwhile Brown was arrested at a five-star hotel in the UK last week after allegedly attacking a music producer with a bottle at a nightclub two years ago. Greater Manchester Police detectives detained the 36-year-old American musician on behalf of the Metropolitan Police at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester at 2am on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Brown is thought to have been taken into custody at a police station for questioning just hours after arriving at Manchester Airport on a private jet, reported The Sun. The allegations relate to an incident in February 2023 where Brown is claimed to have injured music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in London's Mayfair. Mr Diaw has previously claimed Brown assaulted him in an unprovoked attack when the singer and his entourage were at a club night called 'Dirty Martini'. The producer has alleged that Brown hit over the head with a bottle two or three times and then punched and kicked him as he lay on the floor.

Chris Brown released on R120 million bail in UK assault case
US R&B star Chris Brown has been released on bail by a UK court after being charged with a serious assault. He was released with a hefty R120 million (approximately £5 million) guarantee set as his bail condition. This development clears the way for the 36-year-old singer to continue his international tour, which kicks off on 8 June in Amsterdam. Chris Brown was detained in Manchester earlier this month following allegations that he violently attacked music producer Abe Diaw. The incident happened at the Tape nightclub in London back in February 2023, according to LA Times. Prosecutors described the incident as an unprovoked assault where Brown allegedly struck Diaw multiple times with a bottle. The singer then pursued, punched, and kicked him while he lay injured. The severity of the charges led to Brown initially being denied bail last week. The judge citing the grave nature of the allegations. However, after reapplying, Brown was granted bail on 21 May. This was contingent on an immediate payment of £4 million (around R96 million) and an additional £1 million (R24 million) within seven days. This totalled everything to a R120 million guarantee. The court also ordered Brown to surrender his passport except for travel related to his tour. They also imposed strict bail conditions, including residing at a court-approved address. The singer also has to avoid contact with the alleged victim. He should also stay away from the nightclub where the assault occurred. As part of his bail, Brown is allowed to proceed with his 'Bzy Bowl' world tour, which starts in Amsterdam. This includes UK dates from 15 June through early July. Failure to return for these UK performances would result in the forfeiture of the R120 million bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for 20 June, coinciding with his tour schedule. The case adds to Brown's tumultuous legal history, which notably includes a felony conviction for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. The singer, known for hits like Loyal , Run It , and Under the Influence , faces a serious challenge balancing his legal battles with his career commitments. Chris Brown himself took to social media shortly after his release, posting: 'From the cage to the stage, Breezy Bowl is on.' This showed his determination to press ahead despite the legal storm. This high-profile case continues to unfold, capturing global attention as Brown navigates the intersection of fame, legal accountability, and live performance. Mum slammed for only taking one of her kids on holiday while the other stays home – but insists she's ‘not a bad parent'
A COUPLE have divided opinions after choosing to take their baby on holiday, but leave their toddler at home. Georgia and Chris Brown, both 30, booked a four-day trip for three to Morocco. 5 Four-month-old, Harry, went with his parents while George, two, stayed at home with his gran. The pair say they wanted 'one-on-one time' with Harry that wouldn't be possible with a toddler in tow. Business consultant, Georgia, and sales executive, Chris, took George to Sorrento, Italy, when he was a baby. They said they wanted Harry to have a similar holiday where he could be the centre of attention. 'We wanted to have that one-on-one time with Harry,' Georgia, of southeast London, said. 'George's first holiday was all about him and we wanted that experience with Harry. 'When you have a toddler it's a very different experience because you're always looking out for them. 'He's running wild and his brother sits in the back seat a lot of the time. 'Harry follows George's routine and his life very much revolves around what his brother's doing. 'For example, I may have to wake Harry up from a nap to take George on a play date.' Chris bought the holiday as a surprise for Georgia's birthday. Georgia was surprised when she saw that only one child had been booked for the holiday. Georgia said: 'Dads can struggle to bond at the beginning. 'He's the default parent to George because I'm breastfeeding Harry. 'Chris doesn't get to spend that much time with Harry because he's back at work so it gave him that time as well. 'It was a surprise that George wasn't coming and when he gave me the ticket and I saw one child, I thought 'Where's the other one?' 'But I understood and thought it was quite sweet when he explained. 'George is a very loved baby so I never thought it would hurt him or he wouldn't have a great time with his gran.' 5 5 Georgia shared a clip of her on holiday with Chris and Harry on TikTok and was bombarded with comments branding her a 'bad parent'. She said: 'It's crazy, I didn't expect it to get the reaction it did. 'So many people have said we're bad parents, we shouldn't be parents and shouldn't have had a second child. 'People were saying 'that poor boy' and that he'll grow up and never speak to me again. 'They said he'd tell the story in counselling. 'I was wondering if I was a bad parent but I'm absolutely not and I'm not going to listen to these people who think it's ok to put other people down. 'Other people said we can't handle the toddler but we can because we have a toddler and do handle him. 'A lot of mums were commenting. 'Mums know this is the hardest job in the world so the fact there's so many women putting me down because they don't agree with it is crazy. 'People are saying it'll really impact him and he'll remember. I genuinely don't care about all the hate I've got because we had an amazing time. Georgia Brown 'The boy can't remember what he had for dinner. 'He's independent and never been a clingy baby. 'We FaceTimed him every day. 'He wasn't crying asking where I was, he was telling us what he'd been doing. 'I can't let it get to me because these people don't know me and are just online bullies' Trolls also accused the couple of choosing to take one child on holiday because they couldn't afford to take both which Georgia denies. She said: 'About 100 people said 'Just admit that you couldn't afford to take both'. 'I don't need to justify myself to them but that's not the case. 'Some people said that they would love to do it but they can only afford one holiday a year so they take all the children.' Georgia says that despite the online abuse, she doesn't regret her decision. The North African holiday was back in March and the family have been on holiday as a four twice since to Germany and Ireland. She added: 'I'm so glad we did it. It was lovely. 'I genuinely don't care about all the hate I've got because we had an amazing time. 'People said the baby will never remember but me and Chris will remember. Holiday packing tips Jemma Solomon, aka The Label Lady has got 5 packing tips to help you get organised for your next holiday. 1. Write a list Think about all the essentials you need to take with you; suncream, medicine, a few games for the kids, beach towels, and write everything in one list, which you can tick off as you add it to your suitcase. Or for complete ease, try Google's AI app - Gemini - which will create a list for you and help you not over pack. 2. Involve your kids Jemma said: 'My girls are getting older, they're 11 and nine, and they enjoy helping to pack. So I send them a list, and say 'this is what you need' and they follow the list. 'And then I give them a rucksack each - and say to them 'you can have whatever you want in there as long as it's not liquid', and they can take that on the plane. And that's their 'home away from home' items.' 3. Try a hack or two She said: "I think they all work, but for different reasons - and you've just got to pick the right one for your trip. "Rolling your clothes is really good to stop your clothes from getting creases. And if you're trying to get a lot of items into your case, it's a space saver. 'Packing cubes are great - for example, I'm going on holiday with my three kids and we're all using the same suitcase for our clothes. "These handy compartments let you separate your clothes, toiletries and tech into designated cubes, maximising luggage space by keeping your items compressed and neatly stacked. "I love taking them abroad with the family and it means my kids can easily take charge of their own items once we've arrived." 4. Decant beauty products Do you really need to take full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you? The beauty industry has evolved so much, you can now buy shampoo bars or sheets - which are much lighter and smaller. Or, if you'll be popping to the shops when you're abroad, consider buying some items when you arrive. 5. Get organised before you come home Jemma said: 'When you repack on holiday [before coming home], the trick is to separate clean from dirty clothes. 'Also pack it in some form of order - so lights, darks, colours for items that need washing, or if you wash your clothes by person in the household, piles for each person. "Then you can put it straight into the washing machine. Do it straight away, don't leave it." 'My mum and sister took care of George at ours so he wasn't disrupted and he had a great time. 'He went to the zoo, and went to his cousins to make pizza. 'He had an amazing time and it was amazing that my mum was able to spend time with George.' Cruel trolls have bombarded Georgia and Chris with abuse for not including George. Others have been more supportive. One said: 'Forgetting what 'family' means. 'S*** parenting, supposed to be a unit.' Another added: 'Surely this would make the older sibling feel even more left out no? 'They're adjusting to having a new baby in the house and you leave them at home.' However, the couple did also receive some supportive comments from followers. A third viewer said: 'There's nothing wrong with what you've done if you've left them with loving family members. 'I'm sorry people are just hating because they clearly don't understand how hard it is and you are entitled to a holiday.' Another said: 'Oh no, a mum spending quality time with her other child, call the authorities. 'Her eldest isn't abandoned, he's just secure enough not to fall apart when mum takes a break. 'Some of you could take notes.' 5
