Insurance firm welcomes five new members of staff
Howden, a global insurance group with an office on High Street, Newport, has boosted its presence in south Wales with the appointment of five insurance experts. Chris Knowles, Stuart Daviss and Geraint Jones join the team as account handlers, and Simon Peasley and Andrew Davies join as account executives. The previously worked for Thomas Carroll or Towergate and the five will be based at the Cardiff and Swansea branches of the firm. Gary Stevens, regional managing director at Howden, said: 'We are delighted to have welcomed such a strong cohort of recruits to our south Wales offices. Chris, Stuart, Geraint, Simon and Andrew all represent the high standards we hold for ourselves and our staff in delivering excellent insurance services to clients, and they are exceptional assets to our growing team. 'Strengthening our presence in south Wales has been a driving force for us over the last year, and I am incredibly proud of the community we have created.'

RSM UK forms alliance with IntellixCore
RSM UK has teamed up with IntellixCore, an AI consultancy, to advance its goal of incorporating AI into its audit, tax, and consulting operations. The collaboration will utilise an AI Orchestration Platform to support RSM's transition to an operating model that integrates AI. This will allow staff to work alongside AI systems designed to align with the firm's practices and comply with regulatory standards, the accounting firm said. The lab will focus on ensuring that AI applications within the firm are secure, transparent, and geared towards enhancing client outcomes.
