Erie Restaurant Week wraps up its 5th year on a high note
Erie Restaurant Week is over and community leaders said it was another successful event.
According to VisitErie, this year's event included 63 restaurants. Last year, only 48 restaurants participated.

Official numbers have not been totaled yet, but VisitErie leaders told JET 24/FOX 66 that large numbers are anticipated.
Event organizers said Erie Restaurant Week is more than just an opportunity to taste all that Erie has to offer, it's also a good economic driver.

'January is typically a slower month for the restaurants. They took such a hit during the Thanksgiving weekend that restaurant week couldn't come at a better time, and I'm hoping that they will all agree that it was successful. They saw a lot of people coming in that might have been regular patrons and I'm guessing they saw a lot of people that are first-timers,' said Christine Temple, director of communications for VisitErie.
This was the fifth year for Erie Restaurant Week.
