'It's a special moment. All my life, each time I came onstage I told myself: 'Play like it's your last concert'. Just until that moment arrives,' the artist told the crowd, which braved pounding rain at the Vielles Charrues festival in Carhaix, western France, to watch his final gig on Saturday, according to Le Telegramme daily. From the early 2000s, Solveig, together with fellow Gallic luminaries David Guetta and Bob Sinclar, brought the 'French touch' sound to the world's dancefloors, while he also produced songs for stars including Madonna. Sabrina Carpenter's New Album Cover Isn't Going Down Well With Fans

Sabrina Carpenter performs on stage during the Short N' Sweet Tour held at Madison Square Garden on September 29, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Christopher Polk/Rolling Stone via Getty Images) Sabrina Carpenter is no stranger to a bit of controversy. Honestly, it's a part of her charm. Over the last year, her Short 'n' Sweet tour had many critics clutching their pearls, mostly due to her risqué outfits and tongue-in-cheek choreography that imitated some X-rated activities. Nonetheless, the singer remained undeterred, telling those who had a problem, 'Just don't come to the show.' Now, it looks like her latest album won't be bending to naysayers, and is already drawing criticism before even being released, thanks to some bold cover art. This Wednesday, June 11, the singer announced the upcoming release of her new album Man's Best Friend over Instagram. This reveal comes less than a week after the surprise drop of her single 'Manchild' (which will be on the album). Image via With the announcement, the pop star dropped what looks to be the album cover, which features her on all fours in a black mini dress and stilettos. A mostly off-camera suited figure looms over her, clutching a fistful of the singer's signature golden locks. Accompanying the cover reveal was a second image, featuring a close-up of a fluffy dog wearing a collar that read, 'Man's best friend.' But it isn't the latter image that fans are taking issue with. Carpenter's pop identity and predominantly female fan base have been built on an unapologetic embrace of female sexuality and empowerment. However, some feel this latest cover misses the mark, particularly considering the current state of political affairs and women's subjugation. 'This cover isn't landing the way you thought it would right now. The timing…' commented one fan. 'This better be the most feminist, woman empowering album ever with a cover like this, Sabrina,' said another. (Photo by Christopher Polk/Rolling Stone via Getty Images) On the other hand, there were those fans who didn't see an issue. 'It's Sabrina Carpenter… her whole shtick is satire,' and 'Men treat women like dogs. That's the joke,' two supporters commented on the intended irony. Another stated, 'There's nothing wrong with the album cover in my opinion. She's an adult… she might actually be into it?' The context of the cover's controversy may be surmised by a comment from one fan on the supposed intentions behind the art, stating, 'Any irony is lost because the people who are supposed to be offended by this actually want this.' Carpenter's true intentions behind the cover choice will not be clear until the album drops this August. However, if the rest of the album is similar to Manchild, then 'dumb' but nonetheless 'sexy' men may be of note, in which case the reception of any intended irony may be blurred in today's climate. 'Everybody is not being considerate': Kai Cenat Reacts to Eye Injury at Streamer University

Image via: Christopher Polk / Getty Images A high-energy game at the recent Streamer University event took a dangerous turn on May 25, 2025. A female student got a serious eye injury from an Orbeez gun. The game, meant to be a fun and chaotic end to the event, made Twitch star Kai Cenat stop the activities and go to the hospital. This started a bigger talk about safety at events run by influencers. Streamer University: A Bold Try at Content Creation The University of Akron hosted Streamer University from May 22 to May 25, 2025. It brought in more than 120 people who want to create content chosen from over one million who applied. Kai Cenat, the very popular Twitch streamer known for his high energy and huge social media following, put the event together. Streamer Hospitalised at Streamer University, Kai Cenat Responds The event promised to mix learning and fun. Big names like Duke Dennis DDG, and AMP Agent 00 gave talks and workshops. They covered topics from personal branding and content creation to how to handle the always-changing digital world. The goal was to give people who came both the skills and the exposure they need to do well in content creation. A Game Gone Wrong Nevertheless, the big finale on the last day turned into a disaster. A game that seemed harmless with Orbeez guns—devices that fire small, water-absorbing pellets—got out of hand too fast. The game resulted in one player getting hit in the eye causing a bad injury. As the situation spiraled, Kai Cenat, looking worried, made a quick announcement. 'I'm on my way to the hospital, and all I'm asking for y'all is to clean because everybody is not being considerate. Please, if you come together and just clean, that's all,' he said. The event, which was shown live on Twitch, set off alarms about the balance between making engaging content and keeping participants safe. Critics have asked if events like Streamer University—full of lively and sometimes careless activities—are ready to handle the physical risks that come with them. The incident at Streamer University surely highlights the urgent need for better safety planning. As the content creation grows higher, there will be better plans in the future, at least the community is thinking. Revau expands with addition of two Texas MGAs

Revau has expanded with a deal to merge Texas-based managing general agents (MGAs) Brazos Specialty Risk Insurance and Twenty Mile Insurance Services into its network. Financial terms of the cash and equity deal remain undisclosed. The integration is said to enhance Revau's foothold in the specialty insurance sector in North America. This marks the insurer's eighth transaction and the largest since its partnership with investment firm Novacap in 2020. Brazos is a provider of specialty trucking insurance, while Twenty Mile offers liability solutions for the construction industry. Revau's contribution includes its data-analytics capabilities, capital base and digital infrastructure, which are anticipated to streamline product and service delivery. By leveraging the underwriting expertise of Brazos and Twenty Mile with Revau's analytics platform, the combined group aims to establish an 'end-to-end' data capability. This platform will enable the identification of patterns in risk, customer behaviour and market trends to facilitate decision-making. Revau said that the leadership of the acquired entities, including Brazos president Tom Spitalny and Christopher Polk, Twenty Mile president and the CEO of both companies, will remain with the combined group. They, along with their teams, are already engaged in integration efforts across various business functions including underwriting, claims handling and technology. The leadership teams from Brazos and Twenty Mile have become shareholders in Revau. Revau secured legal counsel from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin and Willkie Farr & Gallagher, with Howden Capital Markets & Advisory serving as the financial advisor to Brazos and Twenty Mile. Covington Burling offered legal advice to Brazos and Twenty Mile. Revau president and CEO Jean-François Raymond said: "This is an incredible milestone for Revau, marking our evolution from a small regional MGA with ambitious goals to an industry leader expanding beyond Canada. 'We are thrilled to collaborate with such an experienced and talented group, building a strong partnership model that delivers value for all stakeholders and sets the stage for future success." In 2023, Revau purchased the surety division from Canadian operator Echelon Insurance. "Revau expands with addition of two Texas MGAs " was originally created and published by Life Insurance International, a GlobalData owned brand. Blackpink's Rosé Matches BTS's All-Time Radio Record

Rosé's 'Apt' ties two of BTS's biggest hits for the highest placement ever by a K-pop act on the ... More Adult Contemporary chart. Rosé at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on March 10, 2024 in Beverly Hills, California. (Photo by Christopher Polk/Variety via Getty Images) Rosé has been a constant presence on the Billboard charts for months now, and it's largely thanks to one huge, career-defining track. Her hit 'Apt.,' a collaboration with Bruno Mars, was an immediate win when it dropped, and in the months since, it has turned out to also be a long-term success story – one that continues to break barriers and rewrite longevity records. Week after week, the track fluffs up Rosé's résumé, and this frame, it pushes her even further into historic territory, especially when it comes to one of Billboard's genre-specific radio rankings. 'Apt.' remains a radio favorite this week, performing well across all three of Billboard's pop-focused airplay rosters. The track is in the middle of yet another noteworthy frame on the Adult Contemporary chart, the ranking of the tracks that earn the greatest number of audience impressions at stations that cater to a slightly older pop demographic. This time around, the tune lifts from No. 17 to No. 16. While that is a minor move, it's still a monumental one for Rosé. Reaching No. 16 on the Adult Contemporary chart doesn't just represent a new high point for 'Apt.' It also ties the all-time best showing by any K-pop artist on that list. In this case, a K-pop act is one known primarily for making music in the genre, even if the specific track in question doesn't fit the traditional mold. 'Apt.' is now even with two BTS hits, 'Dynamite' and 'My Universe,' the latter of which being a joint effort with Coldplay. Both of those songs also peaked at No. 16 on the same chart, and now Rosé's tune joins them. Rosé's Mars-assisted cut isn't only climbing to new heights, it's also sticking around for the long haul. 'Apt.' has now spent 11 weeks on the Adult Contemporary tally, which is an impressive feat for any track by a K-pop star, though it still has some ground to cover if the Blackpink singer wants to break more records. Both of the BTS tracks that previously reached No. 16 — 'Dynamite' and 'My Universe' — held on for 20 weeks apiece. That holds as the all-time longest stay among songs by K-pop stars, and while it's months away at this point, Rosé's cut is bigger than ever on this tally, and the Adult Contemporary list is known to move slowly, so that record doesn't seem out of reach. 'Apt.' is present on all three of Billboard's pop radio charts this week. On the Adult Pop Airplay ranking, the song inches closer to the top, climbing from No. 5 to No. 4. That rise is particularly meaningful, as it now stands as the highest placement ever achieved by a K-pop act on the tally. Over on the Pop Airplay list, 'Apt.' slides from No. 7 to No. 9 — a slight dip, though it previously hit No. 1 on that tally, so its legacy there is already well established.
