Bourbon County double homicide case to be presented to grand jury
PARIS, Ky. (FOX 56) — The case against Christopher Taulbee, a 19-year-old from Carlisle who's accused of killing the mother of his child and a man believed to be her boyfriend, is heading to a grand jury. Court documents filed on Wednesday, April 16, show that Taulbee will be transferred to the Woodford County Detention Center and held on a $2 million bond as he awaits further court proceedings. (FOX 56) — New court documents revealed details of an early April encounter that led to the apprehension of a Carlisle man accused of the brutal deaths of two people in Bourbon County. Just before 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, Kentucky State Police troopers reportedly came across 19-year-old Christopher Taulbee on US 60 in Carter County. Court documents noted that Taulbee was seen driving a silver Chevrolet Equinox with a flat tire and missing its driver's side door. When state police pulled him over, troopers noted he was naked, with blood on his hands and chest. He also allegedly didn't have a valid registration or insurance card to show police. Court records show that Taulbee was charged in Carter County with possession of marijuana, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to produce an insurance card, and no registration receipt. But in Bourbon County, troopers reported Taulbee faces two counts of murder. Then, Taulbee reportedly brought a witness to the scene before hitting the male, who was still alive, with a baseball bat. The male's identity has still not been released.
