OLIVE HILL, Ky. (FOX 56) — New court documents revealed details of an early April encounter that led to the apprehension of a Carlisle man accused of the brutal deaths of two people in Bourbon County.
Just before 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, Kentucky State Police troopers reportedly came across 19-year-old Christopher Taulbee on US 60 in Carter County. Court documents noted that Taulbee was seen driving a silver Chevrolet Equinox with a flat tire and missing its driver's side door.
When state police pulled him over, troopers noted he was naked, with blood on his hands and chest.

After a search of the vehicle, troopers reportedly found marijuana in the console and a pipe in the back seat. He also allegedly didn't have a valid registration or insurance card to show police.
Court records show that Taulbee was charged in Carter County with possession of marijuana, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to produce an insurance card, and no registration receipt.
But in Bourbon County, troopers reported Taulbee faces two counts of murder.

Earlier that morning, Taulbee allegedly shot his child's mother in the head and stabbed a male, who police noted in the criminal complaint she was 'in a dating relationship' with. Then, Taulbee reportedly brought a witness to the scene before hitting the male, who was still alive, with a baseball bat.
The male's identity has still not been released.
Taulbee remains in the Bourbon County Detention Center and is set to be arraigned on April 9.

'I'm so thankful that the county made the first step and rewarding us with $160,000. We will match it with discretionary funds,' said Jones. Jones said they hope to give out 2,000 cameras to seniors in Ward 1, which includes the Mt. Pleasant, Union-Miles and Lee-Harvard neighborhoods. New video shows wrong-way driver crashing into 5 cars on Ohio interstate Jones said the cameras are needed now more than ever, especially after seven teenagers were shot in the area of Lee Road and Harvard Avenue over the weekend. 'It sends a strong message that someone is watching you,' said Jones. The cameras and installation are free of charge. Jones said to be eligible, homeowners must be over 55 and make less than $40,000 a year. Jones said seniors will soon be able to apply online and the cameras will be distributed in September.
