Blac Chyna 'can cope with Pardon Me backlash'

Blac Chyna put her "personal beliefs" aside to star in Pardon Me. The 37-year-old star plays anti-abortion activist Bevelyn B. Williams in the new biographical film, and although the subject matter is contentious, Chyna has been able to handle the "backlash". The actress - who has King, 12, and Dream, eight - told People: "Pardon Me is definitely something that has shaped my perspective and let me know that I can play a lead role. "I could tap into another person because it's a difference when you have a character, but you can make it your own. And I feel like playing somebody might be the hardest in my mind to master, but I feel like I mastered it. "I have my own personal beliefs and whatnot. I'm not going to get into it, but I feel like with any actress, you have to put all that aside. "Sometimes I'll watch a movie and then I'll see the person [and] I'm like, 'I don't like that person.' [But] I'm like, 'Wait, oh, that was just a character. Sorry. No, I like you.' So, we have to keep in mind, too, that I am playing a character because I have gotten a little bit of backlash from it, but it's nothing I can't handle." Chyna didn't have any hesitations about starring in the film. The actress - who now goes by her birth name, Angela White - actually found her role in the movie to be "empowering". She shared: "The decision for me to play this role was easy. I knew that it would probably stir up a few things because of the message and what she stands for and that's exactly why I did it. "I feel as though it's very empowering to step into these roles because the thing about it is when you are in the entertainment industry, a lot of times they want you to act a certain way or you're supposed to be a certain type of way for a different type of crowd. "But that's not how it works, that's not how leadership is. I've walked so a lot of people can run in this industry."

Chyna Planned For Solo WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

While Chyna has been recognized for her monumental contributions to professional wrestling with her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the iconic D-Generation X, a discussion persists regarding her worthiness of a solo induction. Many within the wrestling community and her devoted fanbase argue that her achievements, including her groundbreaking reigns as both the Women's and Intercontinental Champion, warrant a separate and distinct honor. Addressing this very topic at the post-WrestleMania press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H offered a perspective on the potential for a future solo induction for the late wrestler. He stated, "I don't know about next year, but it's definitely happening. There's a lot of people when you say the Hall of Fame, there's a lot of names that should be in that Hall of Fame, and should be in the Hall of Fame. But you just can't put them in all at once, right? And there will be the right moment." Triple H further elaborated on Chyna's significant impact, emphasizing her undeniable influence on the present generation of female performers. "As far as Joanie or Chyna, her contributions to the business alone — I mean, you see it. I can see it in all these women. We're at the age unfortunately where they all grew up idolizing her. And I see it in their work, I see it in their demeanor, I see it in what they think works and doesn't. It all in a lot of ways stems from that." 1999 Chyna And Hhh In Wwf Smackdown. It's just a debate every year of who goes in, when, and how. And you can look no further than Ivan Koloff for that. Needed to be in there. Same with Kamala; they need to happen. We just have to be judicious about when and how it happens, so it's done right for everybody." Her initial role as the formidable bodyguard for the controversial duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels instantly set her apart, and she quickly became an imposing force within the D-Generation X stable. Chyna also broke another barrier by entering the 1999 King of the Ring tournament, even securing a victory in her first-round encounter against Val Venis. Chyna became the first and remains the only woman to have held the Intercontinental Championship. She captured this title on two separate occasions, first over Jeff Jarrett in a memorable "Good Housekeeping" match at No Mercy in 1999, and later sharing the championship as a co-holder with Chris Jericho. Later in her WWE tenure, Chyna also became the Women's Champion, defeating Ivory at WrestleMania X-Seven. She held this title until she departed from the company in November 2001. Tragically, the wrestling world mourned her passing on April 20, 2016, when she was only 46. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

Blac Chyna Reveals Which Kardashian-Jenner Family Members She Still Speaks to After Legal Drama, Rob Kardashian Split

Blac Chyna is opening up about where she stands with the Kardashian-Jenner family nearly three years after losing her defamation case against them. On the Feb. 26 episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the television personality, 35, revealed that she still talks with some family members, including ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian, with whom she shares daughter Dream, 8. 'I speak to Kim [Kardashian]. Me and Rob. We are like this now, we're like that now," she shared as she crossed her fingers. I haven't seen Kylie [Jenner],' she added, noting that she often sees the family members at the school gates. The update comes nearly three years after her multiple-year legal battle against family came to an end in May 2022. In October 2017, Chyna filed a lawsuit against Kris, Kylie, Kim and Khloé for intentional interference with her contract at E! for her former reality series Rob & Chyna. The legal action came as Rob — who she split from earlier that year — leaked nude photos of Chyna on Instagram. Amid his social media rampage, Rob also accused Chyna of drug abuse, alcohol abuse and infidelity. Chyna alleged the outburst and the family's influence over E! probably caused the cancellation of Rob & Chyna, despite reports of it being renewed for a second season. Because of this, her legal team argued that Chyna has likely missed out on millions of earned dollars from related appearances and social media posts. Kim was eventually dropped from the defamation suit, before a jury found the family not guilty of defaming Chyna in May 2022. No monetary damages were awarded to the model. "I'm just happy it's over," she shared. When asked what the "toughest part" of the trial was, Kris pointed to the stress of the court case in general. "Going through it," she replied. "But I'm glad it's over." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. "I live in my faith," she continued. "And just hope that that's enough, and yeah. I'm glad it's over, and I'm glad it's over for the girls." She later opened up about the toll of the case on a Sept. 2022 episode of The Kardashians, calling it 'emotionally, physically and spiritually exhausting.' Read the original article on People
