Meet actress who has given back-to-back flop films, owns a Rs 3 crore private island, is yet to give solo hit, has net worth of Rs 115 crore, she is…
Bollywood has introduced so many actresses to the world. While some of them come from a full-fledged background of actors, there are actresses who are completely outsiders, yet made their mark in the industry. Similarly, today we will discuss one actress who is thought not to be a citizen of India, but has been successful in establishing herself in Bollywood. She debuted in 2009 with a fantasy film and since then never looked back. Throughout her career, this actress has worked with many big A-list actors including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Emraan Hashmi, and more. Not just that, she has been a part of a comedy franchise film which became a game changer in her career. If you are wondering who we are talking about, then this actress is none other than Jacqueline Fernandez. Fernandez has been a part of the Housefull franchise and she even came to prominence with her groovy moves in the song 'Dhanno' from Housefull. The actress also made fans go gaga with her steamy pairing with Emraan Hashmi for Murder 2. Along with the picture, the songs of the movie also turned out to be a huge hit. However, after a bunch of hit films, Jacqueline Fernandez slowly started giving flop movies which dented her career. Although Jacqueline's movies are not working on the big screen, she is still one of the most celebrated actresses in India. Not just that, media reports claim that Jacqueline is one of the highest-paid actresses in the Bollywood industry. Do you know that media reports reveal that Jacqueline Fernandez has spent approximately Rs. 3 crores to acquire an island off the south coast of her hometown, Sri Lanka? However, it remains unclear whether Jacqueline plans to develop the place into a business venture or use it for personal works. Meanwhile, Jacqueline has a reported net worth of Rs. 115 crore. Though the actress has seen ups and downs in her career, the actress is striving hard to sustain in the industry. Her latest appearance was in Cirkus, which, unfortunately, underperformed at the box office.

This director made a film to give employment to his crew, gave salaries to 500 people, lead actors are..., film is..., director is...
The entire country was affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. Offices and businesses were closed, and the Hindi film industry was also adversely affected by the lockdown. During this time, seeing his team members unable to work and his savings running out, Rohit Shetty decided to make his 2022 film Cirkus with Ranveer Singh. Writer Yunus Sajawal has revealed this. Yunus said that the film crew was facing financial difficulties due to work. Due to this, Rohit Shetty made Cirkus to help. Renowned writer Yunus Sajawal recently spoke about Rohit Shetty's kindness and affection towards his team while speaking to Digital Commentary. Yunus shared that the filmmaker's Sooryavanshi release had to be put on hold when the lockdown continued. Then in April, he called the production to book the popular Mehboob Studios for September as he wanted to make an indoor film. 'He basically made that film only for his unit,' Yunus said. The Singham Again filmmaker told him that even if he doesn't work for two years, it's okay. But what about the people in his unit? Since no one was working and only living off their savings, Shetty wanted to make a studio-based film so that the unit's families and homes could run smoothly. Having said this, Yunus also spoke about hiring junior artists and paying everyone on time. The author said, 'He would never tell this to anyone; he took it upon himself, considering the film a failure.' According to Yunus Sajawal, Rohit used to pay salaries to all 500 people despite working in rotation due to the restriction of 100 people. At that time, every junior artist had a checkup and vaccination, and all of them were hired for four months, and even if the shooting was stopped, they were still paid. Cirkus also featured Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma. However, this film of Rohit Shetty flopped at the box office. According to reports, the budget of the film was Rs 150 crore. But the collection of the film was limited to Rs 50 crore. Due to which the producers had to suffer a loss of Rs 100 crore.

Rohit Shetty addresses rift rumours with Shah Rukh Khan after Dilwale: ‘We decided to make our own films; loss bhi ho to…'
After their blockbuster collaboration with Chennai Express in 2013, Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty reunited for Dilwale (2015). However, the duo failed to recreate the same magic on the big screen. Since then, there have been rumours suggesting a rift between the actor and the filmmaker. Now, in a recent interview, Rohit has put an end to the speculations. During a candid conversation with Komal Nahta on his Game Changers podcast, the Cirkus director denied the rumours of a feud between him and SRK after Dilwale's poor box office performance as they haven't worked together ever since. Clarifying that there's no enmity between the two, he said, 'Nahi aisa kuch nahi (There's nothing like that).' He added, 'Ek respect hai humare beech me aur Dilwale ke baad ye hua ki immediately phir humne humare khud ki production house kholi. Humne decide kiya ki hum khud ki filmein banayenge. Agar loss bhi ho to humara ho, jabki loss nahi hua tha (We have mutual respect. We started our own production house after Dilwale. We decided to make our own films so that if we face a loss, it is on us. However, we did not face a loss in Dilwale).' Rohit Shetty also shared that despite being a box office failure in India, Dilwale was a huge success overseas. It earned Rs 376.85 crore worldwide despite poor reviews. The film was produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan under their production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. Dilwale had a release clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. In the same interview, the filmmaker also opened up about his friendships in the film industry, revealing his close relationship with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. He also recalled how Deepika shot the movie's last schedule again while she was four months pregnant. 'Relations like these are rarely made,' he said. Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in King, with his daughter Suhana Khan. On the other hand, Rohit Shetty's last release Singham Again grossed well at the box office and received mixed reviews from the critics and audience.
