'If Anything Happens...': Indore Man Fits CCTV On His Helmet As Protection
Last Updated:
The man, who was seen with a CCTV camera on his helmet, alleged that he and his family were being threatened with death by their neighbours over a property dispute.
In a bizarre spectacle, a man in Indore's Gauri Nagar was seen roaming the streets with a helmet fitted with a huge camera, to reportedly protect himself from repeated threats following a property dispute.
The man seen with a CCTV camera on his head alleged that he and his family were repeatedly being harassed and threatened with death by their neighbours over a property dispute. He said his family is being assaulted repeatedly by these people.
Despite filing several police complaints, the police have taken no action against the accused, who want to seize their property. 'We've pleaded for protection. When nothing happened, I decided to record everything, everywhere I go," he said on camera.
'They want to seize our house. I appeal to everybody to help send these people to court for required action," he said. 'Even the police do not help, and instead they threaten and attack us when we approach them."
The man said the helmet camera is his 'shield", saying the desperate step was needed to record the activities of his neighbours. 'If anything happens to me or my family, at least there will be video evidence," he said.
Viral videos show him walking through his neighbourhood, wearing black headgear with a small mounted camera, sparking outrage online.
Police officials have confirmed that the dispute between the families is still ongoing and has already led to physical confrontations, according to NDTV. 'We have tried to mediate between the parties. The case is being reviewed, and any new facts will be taken into account," said a senior officer.
