'Swimming Pool': Gurugram Citizens Blast Authorities Over Waterlogging After Heavy Rains
Gurgaon faces severe waterlogging from incessant rains, causing traffic jams on NH-48 and flooding on Dwarka Expressway. Residents share visuals online, urging permanent solutions.
Gurgaon is witnessing incessant rains since night, resulting in severe waterlogging across the city. Due to adverse weather, traffic congestion is reported at Delhi-Jaipur expressway (NH-48) near Narsinghpur.
Notably, the service road of Dwarka Expressway is also flooded. This expressway, half yet to be inaugurated, is built at a cost of Rs 9 thousand crores, costing Rs 250 crore per kilometre.
According to the information, people are facing huge problems due to waterlogging in Narsinghpur, Mata Road, Sector 14, 17, 22, 23, 4, 7, 9, 10 and around the bus stand. People are sharing visuals of waterlogged streets on social media and questioning administration.

A user on X shared a video of waterlogging in Surat Nagar and wrote, '@DC_Gurugram After even a short rain, the streets get completely blocked with waterlogging in Surat Nagar. 'Most of Gurugram is under water but our water bodies are under hundreds of tons of debris. Encroachments of water bodies by residents and authorities alike. Lots of rain but parched earth with scarcity of drinking water. Restore water bodies and harvest every drop," a comment reads.
Another frustrated Gurugram citizen wrote, 'Every rain repeatedly exposes #Gurugram and the complete collapse of civic infrastructure, huge builder nexus, excessive commercialization with scant regard to civic amenities."
One of the comments reads, 'Heavy rain in Delhi-Noida, roads turn into rivers in Gurugram – now this alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department."
