Jeep and Citroen Record YoY Decline in April Sales, Fall Below 700 Units Combined
While most of the car majors registered a four-digit sales figure, Jeep and Citroen got a harsh blow in April, falling to three-digit figures. Here are all the details that you must check out. The interesting part is that the YoY sales figure of Jeep stands at 278 units, while Citroen sold 339 units in the wholesale market. This implies that Jeep and Citroen have together contributed just 617 units to the YoY car sales list. Citroen, the French carmaker has recorded a 16.1 percent YoY decline as compared to April 2024. Single Variant On Sale Talking about the MoM figures, Jeep sold 294 units in March 2025, and it fell to just 278 units in April 2025, registering a 5.4 percent decline. Also, Citroen sold 407 units in March, which declined to 339 units in April, which translates to a negative growth of 16.7 percent. Though the company witnessed negative figures as it sold 120 units of the C3 which fell to 110 units in April, E C3 registered 118 unit sales in March, which went down to 109 units in April. Also, Citroen sold 100 and 69 units in March and April. The surprising fact is that the French car major registered null sales for the C3 Aircross in April. Second-Gen Honda Amaze Inching Closer To Discontinuation? Single Variant On Sale
Honda Cars India has the third-gen and the second-gen Amaze on sale in India. Now, the Japanese automaker seems to be planning on phasing out the second-generation version of the compact sedan in the country. Such are the speculations as the carmaker has delisted the VX variant from the official website. Before this update was in place, the automaker had the two trim levels of the car on sale, i.e., the S and VX. The VX was the top-end trim of the vehicle before it was discontinued. Now, the car only has the S trim. It will be sold at a starting price of Rs 7.63 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual transmission version and Rs 8.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the CVT. Under the hood, the Honda Amaze has a 1.2-litre petrol engine which kicks out 89 hp of power and 110 Nm of peak torque. This unit is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The S trim of the car comes with features like an LCD screen audio system with Aux-in, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. The list also includes a steering-mounted audio control, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, head-adjustable driver's seat, rear center foldable armrest, dual-tone interior, and more. Meanwhile, the third-gen Amaze takes things up a notch with a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, a six-speaker sound system, a larger infotainment screen, projector fog lamp, semi-digital driver's display, connected car tech, remote engine start, and more. With all of this, it has a starting price of Rs 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom), which goes up to Rs 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, powertrain-wise, the car is the same as its predecessor, with the same petrol engine and the same output.

Citroen Aircross Sales Hit Rock Bottom- Dark Edition Launch Fell Flat?
Citroen India is facing headwinds on its path to growth in the country. The French automaker registered sales of 339 units in April 2024, which is a decline of 16 per cent compared to 404 units sold in the same period during the previous year. To make things worse, the Citroen Aircross has been getting a cold response from consumers. In April 2025, the SUV sold zero units despite the launch of the Dark Edition version in the same month. The sales of zero units show a major decline when compared to the 93 units sold in April 2024. Meanwhile, in March 2025, the brand managed to sell 69 units of the SUV. At the same time, the C3 registered sales of 110 units, the E C3 registered sales of 109 units, Basalt recorded sales of 69 units, and the C5 Aircross recorded sales of 54 units in April 2025. It is to be noted that the C5 Aircross had to go through the same thing in March 2025, with no sales in its name. The Turbo Max Dark Edition, which is priced at Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Turbo AT Max Dark Edition, which is priced at Rs 14.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The Citroen Aircross competes in a segment full of highly popular rivals like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and others.
