PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A wildfire in Clackamas County has prompted Level 3 'Go Now' evacuations. Those within a two-mile radius around Dinger Lake, including Anvil Lake, northwest of Timothy Lake, are asked to evacuate immediately. Officials say this evacuation currently impacts campsites and hikers only. 'Leave immediately, it is unsafe for you to stay in the area. Your life could be in great danger. Search continues for Gresham mountain biker missing near Trillium Lake

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The search continues in the Trillium Lake area for a Gresham man who was reported missing late Friday after not returning from a mountain biking trip. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Ralph Sawyer, 52, was expected back at his home around 8:30 p.m. Friday. Sawyer, who is familiar with the terrain, went mountain biking near Mount Hood. Wanted man, teen arrested, guns seized after police chase in stolen SUV ends in Gresham On Saturday, a team of nearly 40 searchers were assembled, with a group of them finding Sawyer's his blue Kia Soul shortly after midnight. His cell phone was also inside the car. A more extensive search with ATVs, K9s, ground searchers and drones was also launched, with an additional search plane from the Hood River County Sheriff's Office. As of Sunday morning, officials say around 70 searchers are looking for Sawyer, including teams from Clackamas County Search and Rescue, Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, Portland Mountain Rescue, Mountain Wave Emergency Communications, as well as the Hood River Crag Rats. Highland Fire evacuations in place in Crook County 'It's pretty wooded, there's a lot of rivers and streams, and it can be dangerous territory depending on where you go,' said Brian McCall with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. 'If you go off the trails, this is a mountainous region, it's wilderness. So you never know what you're going to find in the wilderness. ' The search is centered along East Still Creek Road to Veda Lake and Kinzel Lake, along with US Forest Service roads around Trillium Lake, authorities say. Sawyer is described as 6-feet-1 with brown hair and was last seen wearing an orange bike helmet, blue shirt and black biking shorts.
