Get a first look at 'Bachelor in Paradise' season 10's chic new Costa Rica digs (exclusive)

Dating is hard. Dating in the heat of summer on a beach that's often overrun with crabs is even harder — but for nine seasons, contestants on Bachelor in Paradise did it anyway. This year, however, Paradise is getting an upgrade. Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive first look at Bachelor in Paradise's new summer home, the Azura Beach Resort in Costa Rica, and from what we can see, there isn't a rogue crab in sight. And rather than sweating it out in open-air hotel rooms, every contestant will enjoy a room with four walls, air conditioning, and a private pool. 'The hotel is more upscale and has a sexy chicness to it that feels more elevated than the traditional kind of Paradise world that we've been in,' explains new showrunner Scott Teti (Claim to Fame, Summer House). 'The cast can literally open the doors to their rooms and swim out into the pool under bridges, and then up to a beautiful bar that is touching the beach. It has amazing views. The beach itself is private and unique. There's a beautiful island right off it with a bunch of fishing boats that surround it every day, with a quaint little town right next door, but not a ton of foot traffic. It feels remote and upscale and sexy at the same time.' Season 10 contestants — including some single seniors from the Golden franchise — will each be paired with a roommate, though EW can confirm that they won't have to sleep in bunk beds. Teti reveals that a special 'VIP Suite' will also be available to contestants 'on certain occasions,' should they want to get some 'alone' time with a potential love interest. 'The VIP suite is a two-story private getaway with an amazing setup that exudes Paradise,' he says. 'It's got a private pool on the top floor and a jacuzzi on the second floor with a full-on kitchen. It's got huge balconies and elite views.' In other words, rose lovers, imagine the 'boom-boom room' of old, but a lot nicer. During the day, contestants can hit the beach — as you'll see below, the daybeds have been replaced by more civilized couches and chaise lounges — or visit one of two bars. Paradise bartender Wells Adams will be back offering mixed drinks and advice, while former Bachelorette Hannah Brown will be on hand 'handing out champagne before the rose ceremonies, checking in with people, seeing how they're doing,' explains Teti. So far, six contestants have been announced: Kat Izzo, from Zach's season of The Bachelor; Zoe McGrady, from Grant's season of The Bachelor; Hakeem Moulton and Jonathon Johnson, from Jenn's season of The Bachelorette; Leslie Fihma from The Golden Bachelor; and Gary Levingston from The Golden Bachelorette. "Everything about the style of the show, we're trying to elevate," continues Teti. "From new cameras and lenses to frame rates to the way it's shot — we're trying to implement an upgraded, sexy style across the board." Upgraded, sexy, and comfortable, that is. With men and women from The Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette on hand this season, producers are creating an environment where the seniors can stay cool and sunstroke-free while looking for a love connection. "We're going to make sure that they have their perfect Paradise to keep them rested and hydrated," says Teti. "There's plenty of shade and comfortable water temperatures to be had." Teti is staying tight-lipped about how the Golden cast members will be integrated into Paradise. Still, when asked if producers would allow a love connection between a Golden single and a younger contestant, the showrunner doesn't shut it down. "I would say that this season is designed to encourage [people] to stay within their lanes," he notes. "But yes, anything can happen in Paradise." Bachelor in Paradise season 10 premieres Monday, July 7, on ABC. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

‘Real Housewives' alum Teddi Mellencamp has multiple brain tumors. What she shared about her diagnosis

Teddi Mellencamp, former cast member of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has revealed that after struggling with severe headaches for weeks, she's been diagnosed with multiple brain tumors. The reality star has undergone surgery for the condition, according to her Instagram account. Mellencamp — who has been open with fans about her health journey over the years, including several surgeries to treat melanoma — shared about her brain tumors on Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The 43-year-old uploaded a statement that read: 'For the last several weeks I've been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.' 'After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months,' she continued. Mellencamp added she was undergoing surgery shortly to have two of the tumors removed. She explained that the smaller cysts will require radiation in the future. 'I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey,' she concluded and added a red heart. On her Instagram story, Mellencamp documented her stay in the hospital as she waited for her surgery to begin. In her first post, she said she was waiting for her children to arrive. Mellencamp shares three children — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4 — with husband Edwin Arroyave, whom she announced she was divorcing in November after 13 years of marriage. Arroyave is also a dad to daughter Isabella from a previous relationship. Mellencamp then quoted her father, singer John Cougar Mellencamp. 'As my dad said this am, god only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It's a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be ok.' In her next post, she uploaded a video of her preparing for surgery by having a friend shave her hair. 'I'm going to have this look on my bucket list. My best look,' she said. She showed off her shorter cut in the following Instagram story. 'Hate to break it to my brother but once I'm allowed to wash my hair and it's not all spikey, I think I've taken you for a run for your money, Hud. I'll see you tomorrow and we'll see who did it better, who wore it best,' she said and tagged younger brother Hud Mellencamp, who recently appeared on the competition show 'Claim to Fame.' In her last post before surgery, she turned the camera around to show fellow 'RHOBH' star Kyle Richards and more friends in her hospital room supporting her. 'Here we go. How many minutes? What's the countdown?' she asked before multiple people said she had 10 minutes until the surgery started. Mellencamp's news about her brain tumors comes about a week after she shared an Instagram photo of a scar from her melanoma surgeries — that extended from her shoulder and down her back — to recognize World Cancer Day. 'It's #WorldCancerDay so I'd like to remind you to get your skin checks scheduled,' she wrote in the caption Feb. 4, in part. Last year, Mellencamp announced that she no longer had any lingering skin cancer after having surgery. 'I got the final report back from my oncologist. 'Final report is all good. Some atypical areas, but no melanoma,'' she updated fans on Instagram in January 2024. She added, 'I am forever grateful to my incredible doctors, nurses, family and friends. I absolutely will be diligent with my 3 month checkups. Please be the same with your skin checks.' The wellness coach first spoke about her Stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022. Since then, she has continuously posted about her surgeries and recovery, estimating in September 2023 that she has had 12 or 13 melanomas pop up on her skin. In September 2024, she needed to have surgery again for her 16th melanoma removal. 'Unfortunately they found a spot on my ear which is now being biopsied. Obviously, I am grateful for my team of doctors who continue to give me the most thorough care. But part of me just wants to scream, 'When will this be over for good!?'' she said at the time. Mellencamp said at the time she was looking forward to the day she can say she is 'cancer-free.' This article was originally published on
