Horrible Histories live concert coming to Glasgow in March
To celebrate the show's 20th year, Birmingham Stage Company has teamed up with Lion Television to produce a special concert event. Horrible Histories – The Concert will be performed live at Glasgow's Theatre Royal on March 20 and 21 as part of a UK-wide tour. Read more: Coronation Street star to star in stage adaptation of iconic 90s thriller The show will mark the first time songs and characters from the BAFTA Award-winning BBC TV series will appear on stage in a unique production. Written by Ben Ward and Claire Wetton, and directed by Neal Foster, the show will be led by Richie Webb, the Horrible Histories song master, who has written all the songs from the hit TV series. The production is set to follow William Shakespeare as he attempts to create the greatest show on earth, only to be interrupted by a cast of notorious characters, including Henry VIII, Queen Victoria, and Boudica. Casting details for the show are expected to be announced soon. Horrible Histories – The Concert is recommended for ages five to 105, with tickets for the Glasgow performances to go on general sale from July 11, while the ATG+ presale takes place on July 9.
