Bruce Springsteen Scores A New Top 10 Album With A Year-Old Release

Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits reaches the top 10 for the first time in the more-than-year since ... More its release ahead of the rocker's tour hitting the United Kingdom. Retitled since its 2023 launch, the trek was originally known as the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band 2023–2025 Tour, but now he's refocused and is once again playing to massive crowds – and occasionally stirring up controversy when he speaks against Donald Trump. He began the latest leg of the venture in Manchester in mid-May, then traveled to France before bouncing back to the United Kingdom, where he recently played in Liverpool. His return to the country has helped the rocker immensely on the charts, even earning him a brand new top 10 album. The simply-titled singles-packed compilation Greatest Hits is surging on the charts in the U.K. thanks to Springsteen's tour. This frame, it reenters two tallies and soars on the Official Album Downloads roster, jumping from No. 80 to No. 7. This week marks the title's first appearance inside the top 10 on the list of the most downloaded full-lengths and EPs in the nation. It reaches this new high point 68 weeks into its tenure (it was released in April 2024) and gives Springsteen his fifteenth top 10 win in the country on this ranking. Greatest Hits also breaks back onto both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts at the same time, as pure purchases of the compilation have apparently increased significantly. The title reenters the former ranking at No. 49 and the latter at No. 83. Springsteen sees six of his albums appear on at least one U.K. chart this frame, with multiple comebacks taking place. His fans are clearly ravenous for his biggest hits — so much so that two compilations return. In addition to Greatest Hits, Best Of is also back on a pair of tallies. Several of Springsteen's traditional albums are also performing well in the U.K., as Born in the USA, The River, Born to Run, and The Land of Hope and Dreams all take up space. A handful of popular tunes like "Dancing in the Dark" and "Born to Run" — longstanding staples in Springsteen's discography — also mount comebacks in what has proven to be a huge frame for the legendary rock musician.
