Sana'a mayor launches extensive Eid al-Adha cleaning campaign
Sana'a – Saba: Mayor of the Capital Dr. Hamoud Ubad has launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign evening across Sana'a's districts in preparation for Eid al-Adha. The initiative aims to remove stalls, unsightly displays, and waste from streets and markets, improve the capital's appearance, and regulate traffic. The campaign, which began in key areas like Bab al-Yemen and various central markets, involved the Capital Sana'a, Cleanliness Fund, Public Works Office, and security directorates. Over 3,500 workers and 500 vehicles/equipment were deployed according to a detailed action plan. Mayor Ubad confirmed the widespread cleaning efforts on Eid eve, commending the participants' cooperation. He emphasized the need for continued stability in markets and strict supervision to prevent re-littering during the Eid holidays. Officials from the Cleanliness Fund and Public Works detailed their significant contributions of personnel and equipment to ensure the success of the campaign. Summer courses inspected in Bani al-Awam district
Hajjah - Saba: Ahmed al-Akhfash, Hajjah Undersecretary for City Districts Affairs, and Hamza Sharaf al-Din, the Executive Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, on Wednesday inspected the summer courses in Bani al-Awam district. Al-Akhfash and Sharaf al-Din, along with Mobilization Officer Majed Maran and Branch Director of the Endowments Authority Office Mohammed Qatran, listened to an explanation from Sharaf al-Houthi, the Education Sector Officer in the district, about the level of turnout and the progress of summer activities and programs. The visitors urged students to make the most of the summer courses and to seek guidance from God, memorize, and recite the Holy Quran. They emphasized the importance of summer courses for equipping young people with various skills, discovering and refining their talents, developing their academic, cultural, and athletic capabilities, and protecting them from negative, domesticated concepts and the dangers of soft warfare. During the visit, stationery and school supplies were provided by the Cleanliness Fund for the summer courses. In addition, an expanded meeting was held in Bani Al-Awam District, chaired by Deputy Governor Al-Akhfash, to mobilize for summer courses. In the meeting, which included the Executive Director of the Cleanliness Fund, mobilization and education sector officials in the district, and a number of branch directors of executive offices, the Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of encouraging children to enroll in summer schools, which represent a stronghold against the dangers of enemies, soft warfare, and misguided cultures. Comprehensive cleaning campaign in Sana'a Governorate in preparation for month of Ramadan
Sana'a - Saba: Sana'a Governorate launched today a comprehensive cleaning campaign under the slogan "Cleanliness is a faith-based behavior and a collective commitment", in preparation for the month of Ramadan 1446 AH. The campaign is being implemented over a week under the supervision of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the governorate and with the participation of official bodies and the local community. It aims to remove waste from streets and neighborhoods in various directorates. The new directorates of Sana'a, Bani Matar, Sanhan and Bani Bahlol, Hamdan, and Bani Hashish witnessed the launch of the campaign in the presence of local and executive leaders, where officials stressed the importance of the initiative in enhancing community awareness of the importance of cleanliness and improving the environmental situation, especially in areas with high population density. They also pointed out the need for the local community to participate in the success of the campaign and cooperate with cleaning teams to remove waste and keep streets and neighborhoods clean. The campaign includes removing slums and violations from markets and public streets, in addition to regulating traffic and improving the environment of residential neighborhoods. The campaign is accompanied by an awareness program that includes distributing leaflets and banners to shops and establishments, in addition to broadcasting awareness messages via cleaning vehicles to encourage citizens to adhere to sound practices in disposing of waste. The Executive Director of the Cleanliness Fund in the Governorate, Eng. Sami Al-Turabi, confirmed that the campaign comes within the efforts aimed at promoting the culture of cleanliness as part of the faith identity, pointing out that all the necessary equipment and technical and administrative personnel are provided to implement it successfully. The Deputy Director of the Fund, Muhammad Al-Dawla, and the Director of Media and Awareness, Sadiq Al-Jamali, also called on citizens to interact positively with the campaign and not to throw waste randomly, stressing that commitment to cleanliness is a collective responsibility that contributes to improving the civilized appearance of the governorate and welcoming the month of Ramadan in a healthy environment befitting its spiritual status.
